STEVE BANNON PUSHING FOR 44 PERCENT MARGINAL TAX RATE ON THE VERY RICH (https://theintercept.com/2017/07/26/steve-bannon-pushing-for-44-percent-marginal-tax-rate-on-the-very-rich/)

If you look at the math of the proposal it raises very little revenue. The US government does not have a revenue problem; it has a spending problem.

TOP WHITE HOUSE adviser Steve Bannon is pushing for tax reform to include a new 44 percent top marginal tax rate, hitting people who earn more than $5 million a year, with the revenue paying for tax cuts for the rest, according to three people who’ve spoken to him recently.

The top rate is now 39.6 percent and most Republicans have been planning to lower it significantly as part of tax reform. The plan Trump put out previously would have only three brackets, with the top one brought down to 35 percent (http://www.zerohedge.com/news/2017-04-26/trump-tax-plan-have-3-brackets-35-25-10).

Because it's not your money in their mind, they see it as theirs that they "let" you borrow. Cut spending. It really is that easy.

Bannon is a notorious white supremacist.
Americas spending problem lies in its massive military expenditure. Why do we spend more then most of the world combined? Why does the American tax payer have to bare the burden of policing the world?
Maybe the rich want a massive military because of the prestige it provides them and to protect thier interests both abroad and domestically. If we ever have a revolution like the one in France that ended feudalism, you know what the billionaires will be counting on to kill average joes like us.
In short, the American tax payer is nothing but a stooge...
congress cut the inheritance tax which benefited only 5000 to 10000 Americans... yet the retarded middle income republican constitute was so passionate about this cause, you would think he actually would benefit from passing such a disgusting legislation...
we need honest people to represent us so they tackle the tax loop holes that disproportionately benefit the billionaires...
but I said it before and I will say it again...
those politicians in office are not the candidates we voted for. The special interest lobbyists scoop them as soon as they win an election.
Think about that when you say god bless America....

They? Bannon is a member of the trump administration and hence is a REPUBLICAN, so the they is referring to Repubs. Cut spending, oh sure, the GOP wants to cut spending all right, to social programs, education, and the arts, thing is they want to add Trillions more in deficit spending on the Military, Immigration, The "Wall", Tax Cuts for the rich, (obviously not the super rich, some of whom like trump are not paying income taxes), and other pork spending for their cronies and supporters. Clue: the right loves your money just as much as the left, they just want to waste on different things, both consider your money as their money.

Bannon is a progresssive. When Trump was elected, Bannon said he was going to steal Dem thunder and push them as Trump's. He has started.

I agree to an extent; but "THEY" is the government. The rulers.
