Obama’s re-election showed that a majority of Americans want to be slaves. Biden’s comment about “putting ya’ll back in chains” must have been more than just a sick, racial joke, because that’s exactly what the Obama administration has been doing and will continue to do. Even though blacks had been hit the hardest by Obama’s economic policies, they voted overwhelmingly to be more-than-willing slaves. They want to be “put back in chains” as long as Obama is their master.
But they’re not the only ones wanting to be slaves. In a poll conducted by Harris Interactive, it was found that about 1/3 of Americans would submit to a cavity search by the TSA if it was required in order to board a plane. 35% of respondents said they would wear an electric shock bracelet under the same circumstances. While the cavity search hasn’t yet become a regular TSA “security measure,” the shock bracelet actually was proposed back in 2008 by the DHS, and other federal departments and law enforcement were interested in the idea. Passengers at airports.........

Shock bracelets? With some dipshit TSA agent who was hired yesterday in charge of the button? Uh....no. Body cavity searches? Again, by some dipshit TSA agent? No way in hell. No trip is that damn important. Over the water has never been a requirement for me....and I can drive anywhere else I need to be. At some point in the very recent past, curtailing my American freedoms has just gone too far, a tiny bit at a time.

This is why everyone should write their congressman and demand that the voting machines and software that ran them be investigated. This election was stolen and Obama knew it would happen which is why he wasn't ever worried about the outcome...he already knew!

Probably not until after the liberals have successfully forced us into bankruptcy. We've had one moderate conservative, President Reagan. No one else was remotely a fiscal conservative.

Right now Barbra Streisand is conservative based on who is in the WH.

The people's vote doesn't make a bit of difference in the elections, it's all about the electoral college. Are you suggesting that the electoral votes were falsified?

The article equates bad economic times with "slavery" and it makes a number of other silly right wing partisan comparisons, so many that I gave up reading the article after a certain point.

Not true. The electoral college is just a logarithm that serves no real purpose that nobody seems to be able to explain other than it being a token of states rights.

Having said that, it's a (for the most part) direct correlation of the vote of a given state.

Suggesting that voters have zero impact on an election is absurd.

To answer the initial question, no, not IMO. The new demographic simply doesn't embrace the traditional American values and a very large part of it, if not most of it, is made up of check getters not check writers. The new demographic doesn't understand or appreciate capitalism though it is where the residual and rapid waning prosperity that supports them came from. It actually thinks that government creates wealth and gives things for free.

There is a conservative America but if there were to be a conservative country, it would have to shed the area where the new demographic dominates. That isn't going to happen peaceably and it won't happen without great upheaval, if at all.

Most of our representatives of the new demographic here are amazingly ignorant of history, political or economic. They really don't grasp that they are living in a society that is in very fundamental moral and economic decline. They don't understand that the people they vote for are only interested in power and control and are hastening that decline. In a general sort of way, we are seeing Atlas Shrugged reenacted in America.

So, no, the "united" (ha!) states is not united, is not going to be united and is not going to succeed under the new religion of diversity. Like it or not, blacks, hispanics and women are not the primary wealth creators who have provided jobs for the new demographic. Old, hated white males are. We are dying out and wising up. Very interesting to hear from a friend whose buddy is a small business accountant who is phasing out his business because his clients are dropping like flies, either voluntarily or involuntarily because government has simply made it not cost effective to stay in business. And I don't mean just the Federal government either.

No doubt, the village idiots here will post their one liners and cartoons, simply demonstrating they do not understand where what they are living off of comes from and how that is drying up like a dying lake. I am not making this statement out of sour grapes, just an appreciation for history, which I am well studied in, and experience, which I have a lot of. The new demographic is a mega trend and it is one that has doomed the old, prosperous and free America. Everyone had better get used to it and those of you who aren't living in a fantasy land like our liberals here, take steps to prepare for the consequences of the new demographic.

Remember, that in the fall of Rome, the smart took steps to take care of themselves and their families and be well out of harms way when the barbarians marched in. Actually, and this is one of the funny things about all that, the barbarians improved governance in Rome.

When the fiscal shit hits the fan, fiscal conservatism will get real popular real fast.

Social conservatism is dead.

Not really. Look at history. When the shit hits the fan, the sheep vote for fascism.
