I knew two showers a week are enough. That's my routine except when I have been working outside or notice I stink. Imagine the strain on municipal water systems due to overshowering.

Also, baking soda makes a fine deodorant with out rubbing chemicals in a sensitive area.

I'll have to show this to my preteen son. He HATES showering. My teenage daughter falls into the opposite category, she often showers twice a day.

If you never showered you'd have a tough time making friends.

Except on the Internet.

I used to do triage in an Emergency Room, which involved meeting with every registering patient. It amazed me the amount of people that smelled like a barnyard animal.

I shower every day after work, except on weekends when I don't work (in which case I skip Saturday). Unless I do yard work, then I shower Saturday too.

I bathe once a year whether or not I need it!

My buddy has an above ground pool, a swim is as good as a bath, right?

I beg to differ, I just swam a couple hours ago and feel clean as a whistle, then again I also consider a swim in the river as a sufficient bath, a good handful of that coarse river sand really exfoliates you!

When we left Iraq we had to go through US Customs (they came to us). We had to undress. My Desert BDU blouse stood up on its own. Home made starch. The Customs chick wouldn't touch it. It was all burned I think.

The units not on the front line got regular showers and mail. We didn't get any of it.

Airborne infantry. No sex available. Women were hundreds of miles behind us.

When we finished and were relieved from the front - as we drove back all units were told to pull off the hard ball so we could pass. A lot of military women took their shirts off and flashed their tits as we rolled south. I was too exhausted to even care. But that is women in "combat."

Given the number of rapes of women, I'll just have to say you were there. ButI don't think there were women in combat in Desert Storm...that didn't happen until Iraq

I shower every day. The thing that made me do it was working with a guy who only showered once a week on Friday evening so we got to enjoy his funk all work week.

It's probably different for different people. My patients poop and pee on themselves and need to be bathed every day.

You would think cleaning up the poop is the worst thing. But actually the pee is the worst.

You don't notice it when everyone is in the same shape. We had a couple of guys go to the rear and when they came back clean we noticed how bad we smelled.

Dogs don't notice that they stink. Same with cows. I think cats do, though.

Those are good cats.My calico used to break in the house at 6 am and sit by the bed and meeooww until I got up to feed her. She used to push the accordion slider on the window AC unit back and get inside. Now that I secured it, she sits outside on top of the AC unit and gives me dirty looks thru the window until I go out and feed her.

Mine's an indoor cat. She sleeps first downstairs, then upstairs, then on the bed at my feet, till maybe 6 and gets restless, and by 7 is waking me up, dammit.

I have 3 that mostly stay outdoors, they are all fixed and have their shots. I don't know how anyone has indoor cats, litter boxes and always having to make sure they don't bolt out the door!

There are four types of animals:

(1) animals we eat
(2) performing or working animals
(3) pets
(4) cats

And no one "owns" a cat, they own you.

Cats prefer to be referred to as fur people, they think it's purrfect! :)

First cat, ages ago, Spot (black on white), was strictly outdoors, neutered, shots etc, but outdoors, and neighbors liked him for chasing off mice and squirrels. This one, Tigger, it was a decision to deal with litter boxes and scratching--he's curious about the outdoors, watches constantly, there's a black cat roaming free, but he has never shown interested to actually venture out there.

Cats have not evolved since they domesticated us.

If mine did he's chipped, and tagged with both ID and insurance.
