Any avid sledders here?

Just acquired my late best friends snowmobile as the family didn't want to sell it or let it rot away.

2007 RMK 600 155" sled. It's been modded quite a bit but I don't know the full history.

I only rode with him a few times while he had it but it was pretty amazing in the deep powder even with the smaller engine. I usually rode around on our work sleds Arctic Cat 800's but they were the old school frame style (lower seat).

This RMK is the mountain style frame with the seat up high, more like a dirt bike.

Anyways .. just curious about the sled a bit. Wondering if ya'll do any sledding.

Only rode them a few times, too fast and generally only useful in the winter time.

I prefer ATV's.

I also got his quad.

It's an old as hell Honda 4trax 300cc i think? . Blue thing with the racks and such - having issues keeping it running. Prolly needs carb fiddled with.

Should be fun messing around on the property. No title or anything so it'll just stay at home.

I grew up on dirt bikes. From b&g lawnmower motor mini-bike up to a honda trail 50 to a honda xr100 to a kawasaki KX125 and then a KX250.

I constantly got hurt on them though. High tolerance for pain plus a low fear level meant I was always the first to try a new jump or hill climb and was the first to find out something is/was a bad idea.

I might need to buy a nice quad .. another dirt bike would be a bad idea at my age.

Yep, I ride them all the time! LOL, j/k

Glad you are putting it to use and it is not wasting into scrap in a garage corner!

They sell tank tracks for ATVs for snow riding. I wouldn't get them but they look like fun to try out.

I see a lot of odd stuff out here in the desert. We get a pretty heavy snow season, got a foot of snow last Thursday lol. A dude across town has one of those old AMC Scouts but has a set of triangular tank tracks on them.

Saw motorcycles with those also lol... looked awesome in the videos.. not sure how practical they'd be. Seems if you stopped you'd be fucked.

I think if the pic is too big the site won't take it.

Resize it down using one of those photo editors that comes with your OS or host it on imgur or something.

Nice. I like that it doesn't have like fluero green stripes on it or whatever, it's just a machine. That's kick ass. I see these derps out there with these gumball machines and matching full-faced helmets and the suits... we roost the shit out of them when we get the chance lol. Our junk is ugly.

I like that garage you have too, I'd be in there during most of my off-time ours fucking around if I had one of those.

Yea I dig the black. Buddy must have taken off the stickers. Pretty slick.

Yea that's my barn I still have to finish. Probably end up putting animals back in it though. Mom is bugging me to get the horses back here *sigh*.

A friend of mine now deceased was an avid snowmobiler, he had like 6 of them, he would bring people with him or introduce them to snowmobiling, I had a blast the few times I went.

They are incredibly fun huh. I've only been maybe 20 times tops but it was mostly for work so we didn't screw around toooo much.

However the last few years we've been doing a 50ish mile ride over a small pass to a little bar/motel at the ass end of a winter road to watch the daytona 500 .. super fun.
