But he didn't have a silencer. It would have been worse if he had an M60 machine gun or a 50 caliber machine gun, but he didn't. Imagine how bad it woukd have been if he had an M203 grenade launcher?

Silencers do not make automatic rifles "silent", by any means. They SUPPRESS, not eliminate, the report.

That was not in your original article. Jr was clearly not suggesting this should be done for kids to use. He said it should be done to reduce hearing.

There is actually a very good chance it will pass. Silencers are already available to anyone who can legally purchase a firearm. I have one for my HK USP Tactical. All this legislation would do is remove them from the NFA roster and place them in the same category as firearm. It eliminates the $200 tax stamp and the ridiculously long wait to get one.

They are in common use in Europe and in many sporting facilities there, it is considered good manners to use one.

Do you know how a silencer works? Do you know what a silencer does?
It does not silence the weapon, it does lower the report, but you can still hear them, it also does nothing to supersonic rounds which you can hear as the exceed the speed of sound, it only reduces their muzzle noise. Most of the people thought the noise was fireworks, they ran when people started getting hit.

Did you watch your own video? None of those weapons made just a click, the it is also a recording that has had sound mixing, do you think they may have adjusted levels? you know to promote their product. EVEN IN THE VIDEO it is clearly stated that they do not silence only reduce (time hack 3:01) that there is still the sonic boom.

Let's not pretend that this was simply new control laws, gun-owners were forced to surrender 640,381 personal firearms to be destroyed, including semi-automatic .22 rifles and shotguns, a program costing the government over 500 million dollars.

Then there is always the fact that the SCOTUS has ruled that the Second Amendment protects an individual's right to possess a firearm unconnected with service in a militia for traditionally lawful purposes, such as self-defense. Frequently your rights are adjusted to coexist with my rights. It happens every day. For example, you can say whatever you want, but you can't yell fire falsely in a crowded theatre. The crowd's safety trumps your free speech. Dangerous speech is not protected speech.

You can open carry, but you can't do so in a courtroom. The judge's safety trumps your 2nd amendment rights.

I could list examples all day, but federal courts exist, for the most part, to resolve such conflicts.

The declaration of Independence reads "that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness." But your unalienable Rights do not give you priority over others.

There are tens of thousands of said decisions on the books. To pretend that we can return to originalist who-ha is folly.
