"President Obama’s favorite union, the Service Employees International Union, is spearheading the obnoxious effort; it’s supposed to last from 11 a.m to 4 p.m., virtually the entire day. The LAPD says that travellers should arrive 90 minutes earlier than usual. LAX already advises people to arrive two hours in advance."

Now, a question. If you were trying to fly to visit relatives on Thanksgiving or expecting relatives in to visit you, would you be irritated at the union or the employer?

I hope this backfires on them big time.

UPDATE:
"Union members blocked a busy intersection after their permit had expired, The Los Angeles Times reported (http://latimesblogs.latimes.com/lanow/2012/11/lax-union-protest-angers-holiday-travelers.html), leading to their arrests. “At least two of those arrested are City Council candidates,” the Times added (http://latimesblogs.latimes.com/lanow/2012/11/road-closures-due-to-a-workers-rights-protest-wednesday-near-los-angeles-international-airport-have-all-been-lifted-authorit.html) in a separate report, listing Ana Grande and Ana Cubas of the 13th and 9th districts, respectively."

I wonder which party the two politicians represent? The new union slogan is, "We Don't Care About You".

Employers share some of the blame when they agree to ridiculous demands from labor.

It's too easy to blame the victims. It's easy to encourage them to stand up to the extortionists and their allies, the government, when it's their business that will be destroyed, their financial future that will be destroyed, and their families and workers who will pay the price.

When it's government unions and their accomplices cutting deals there is no excuse.

Like any cartel, union members are trying to sustain pay and benefits above what the market will bear. At least in the marketplace, sooner or later it fails. What everyone should be concerned about is that the unions are taking over our governments, getting paid too well and taking, in effect, our tax money to entrench the left in government more.

SEIU is a govt union and unions for govt employees should be illegal. Screw you, SEIU.
