A man posing as a police officer had his plan scuttled when the man he pulled over, an active San Antonio police officer, told him he wasn't following proper procedure, officials said.

...Law enforcement in the area is searching for the impersonator.

The San Antonio officer, who was not identified, said he was pulled over by a white Chevrolet Silverado that had interior red and blue lights rather than overhead lights.

A man with a thick beard approached the officer and accused him of speeding. The SAPD officer said the man was in a brown uniform that read "police" but the uniform did not specify a jurisdiction or law enforcement agency.

According to the officer, the man told him he could pay for his ticket with cash in an envelope or by giving him his credit card information.

The officer said he told the man that's not how citations are written, and the man accused the officer of being disrespectful.

I'm surprised the real officer didn't arrest the fake officer on the spot. It would have been one less hair bag on the street.

Apparently the hair bag ran and drove away before the real officer could react.
