Dukakis. If he had won, no Clintons, Bushes, Trump or Obama. Political life as we know it would have been vastly different.

The correct answer is Patrick Buchanan. He is a political god. I love him.

Eugene V. Debs, or Teddy Roosevelt in 1912.

Eugene V Debs was a forerunner of Hilary Clinton and Bernie Sanders. He was a socialist and thank God and all the Angels he never won.

Two out of three of your claims are correct. Debs was a forerunner of Sanders and Debs was a socialist. He was not, however, a forerunner of Clinton. She is the farthest you can get from being a socialist and is a part of the very political and economic elite Debs was fighting against. He would have disliked her just as much as you do. Claiming she’s a socialist is just ignorant.

You apparently are unaware of the true meaning of the word socialist. Hillary Clinton claimed to be a "Progressive". Progressive was the name the socialist took when it was apparent they could not win as socialist and what they saw socialist around the world doing. Hillary Clinton was a self proclaimed socialist who believed that "it takes a village to raise a child" i.e. it took big government in place of the family.

Please don't call me ignorant. I find that offensive.

Much better than either of the establishment tools he ran against.

Whenever I think of Perot, I think of the fact that he hired Bull Simons to get his people out of Iran instead of waiting for the government to do something. That kind of loyalty toward his subordinates is worth a lot.

A, Trump like, president would not have worked then, America wasn't ready.... Someone like that was probably needed, but, Americans would not have gone for it then.....I'm thinking.

George McGovern was naive but we would have been better off with him than with RMN. People actually believed that RMN was a "true" conservative when he was anything but. He was a big government potential tyrant. He was hounded from office for stealing chickens when he was really guilty of treason. McGovern wouldn't have gotten away with anything because the establishment left and right wouldn't have let him. McGovern did realize his liberal fantasies were wrong later in life but it was too late. The Passing of George McGovern: A Liberal Who Got Mugged
