I first saw this on the Shark Tank. But then it was just a plain old hunk of plastic. It's been enhanced to allow you to swipe and scroll.

We are killing our citizens' minds.

When I first saw a fidget spinner I asked what it does and my niece said, "this!" as she relentlessly spun it.

I never had a smartphone but I know someone who is addicted and also has a smartwatch. He has both with him all the time. We went on a short trip by car and he was on his smartphone talking constantly.
We were supposed to find a place to stop and eat but never did agree on where or when to stop because he was always on his phone. Some people are so addicted they don't even know when they are being rude to the person they are with.

I think they should have clubs like they do for alcoholics. You would introduce yourself to the group and say, "Hi! I'm a recovering smartphone addict." (There would be no smartphones allowed at the meetings.)

Talking isn't as bad as texting...
