A man says he caught a UFO on camera as it flew around the Northwest Side Thursday night.

The viewer told us he followed the craft at a distance all night and said he spotted three of the "massive" crafts in the air.

The witness, who identified himself as a former pilot for the Air Force, said "this was no flight path approved by the FAA" and said it wasn't a helicopter "as it made no sound."

The man said there were at least 10 vehicles in front of him that stopped on the side of the road. He told us the craft then somehow shrunk down in size to land in what he believes was a warehouse off of Interstate 10 near the Loop 410 Interchange.

The viewer said, "They were absolutely all over last night."

Airplanes. The strobes are a dead giveaway.

It's an aeroplane. It has the telltale flashes that planes have and you can pretty much see the outline of the plane when it changes course. I wish it was an alien craft, but no. Plus you can see a definite descent path in the second video. The giant light in the front of the plane is also a dead giveaway.

Agree with post 2 and 3. All the hall marks of conventional craft, no 90 degree turns, no insane acceleration/decellerations.

NASA's HUGE announcements are usually not very exciting to us normal people.

It'll be something like "microscopic somethingerathers 'might' prove life exists outside our world.. maybe.. if other stuff happens. We'll get back to you in 10 years after we study it.

I need a drone and some glow in the dark stuff so I can be internet famous. In the meantime, tube #2 is such an airplane I cannot believe anyone believes it was a UFO.

I wanted to take some ballons filled with propane and enough helium ones to float it, in the midst of the propane ballons an improvised time delayed ignition via a match book with a short length of inscense stick. In theory, you could get a spectacular fireball in the night sky. Just never got around to it! :)

Man, you guys are just no fun. What? A pyrotechnic hoax is no fun? Ever seen just one balloon of propane touch off? I'm thinking 20 or so, go big or go home!

It's ok. I believe it's a UFO. If you look realllllllllly closely it says, "SS Anal Probe" on it's side. O.o

Sounds like something you might not want to have your fingerprints on just in case.

If they are technologically advanced enough to travel many light years I'd bet they have the technology to defeat our sensors. Maybe they make their "ships" look like airplanes. I know some people who think drones are UFO's. Drones have colored lights that flash and they can fly pretty fast and change directions very fast, up and down and side to side and forward and backward. If they are up over 100 feet or so and aren't real close they are silent. Another possibility besides aliens from another planet or dimension is some future Jeff Bezos offering time flights back to the past so future Earthlings can see what we are like and wonder how we ever made it. Their artificial intellegent google of the future could catalogue every UFO sighting and send their time travelers to those very times and places.

Video Released From Government's $22 Million UFO Program Shows Strange Flying Object (http://fortune.com/2017/12/18/video-navy-pilots-ufo/)

Are we alone in the universe? Government officials confirmed for the first time this month that the U.S. Defense Department has been trying to answer that question, according to the New York Times.

Out of the defense department’s $600 billion budget, a very well-hidden $22 million went to the Advanced Aviation Thread Identification Program, an initiative that investigates reports of “anomalous aerial vehicles,” more colloquially known as UFOs.

The former director of the program, a military intelligence official named Luis Elizondo, resigned in October and shared previously classified videos of fighter jet pilots sighting UFOs.

“There’s a whole fleet of them,” one pilot says.

...Most of the money went to Bigelow Aerospace, a company run by billionaire entrepreneur and friend of Sen. Reid, Robert Bigelow. Bigelow is currently working with NASA to develop and produce expandable crafts for human space travel. He said in a CBS “60 Minutes” interview that he “absolutely convinced” that alien life is real and that extraterrestrials have visited Earth.

Ancient Aliens has become unwatchable. There's a quasi-religious character to UFO research these days.

Former Navy pilot describes UFO encounter studied by secret Pentagon program (https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/checkpoint/wp/2017/12/18/former-navy-pilot-describes-encounter-with-ufo-studied-by-secret-pentagon-program/?utm_term=.f1dfcc08a426)

...The news of its existence marks one of the most significant disclosures about government research into flying objects — and the so-far-unproven possibility of extraterrestrial aircraft — since Project Blue Book, a lengthy Air Force study of thousands of UFOs that was shut down in 1969. Project Blue Book failed to find “any technological developments or principles beyond the range of present-day scientific knowledge,” and no evidence of any “extraterrestrial vehicles,” according to the Air Force, though a small portion of the events it studied remain unexplained.

The encounter Fravor described was analyzed by the recent Defense Department program, he said, but its most significant questions — the nature of the object and what it was doing — have also remained unanswered.

Fravor says he is certain about one thing: “It was a real object, it exists and I saw it,” he said in a phone interview on Monday, as he described the sighting, on Nov. 14, 2004.

Asked what he believes it was, 13 years later, he was unequivocal.

“Something not from the Earth,” he said.

Fravor was the commanding officer of the A-41 Black Aces, a U.S. Navy strike fighter squadron of F/A-18 Hornet fighter planes doing an exercise some 60 to 100 miles off the coast between San Diego and Ensenada, Mexico, in advance of a deployment to the Persian Gulf for the Iraq War, he said.

An order came in for him to suspend the exercise and do some “real-world tasking,” about 60 miles west of their location, Fravor said. He said he was told by the command that there were some unidentified flying objects descending from 80,000 feet to 20,000 feet and disappearing; he said officials told him they had been tracking a couple dozen of these objects for a few weeks.

When they arrived closer to the point, they saw the object, flying around a patch of white water in the ocean below.

“A white Tic Tac, about the same size as a Hornet, 40 feet long with no wings,” Fravor described. “Just hanging close to the water.”

The object created no rotor wash — the visible air turbulence left by the blades of a helicopter — he said, and began to mirror the pilots as they pursued it, before it vanished.

“As I get closer, as my nose is starting to pull back up, it accelerates and it’s gone,” he said. “Faster than I’d ever seen anything in my life. We turn around, say let’s go see what’s in the water and there’s nothing. Just blue water.”

Fravor’s plane headed back to USS Nimitz aircraft carrier, but a separate crew that had taken off toward the object began to search for it, tracking it for about a minute and a half and shooting a video, Fravor said.

This is the first video posted last night.

I remember being bummed as a kid when they announced that "Project Blue Book" found no evidence of alien craft. If I had been old enough to understand how much the government lied I'd of probably been psyched and taken it as a sign of proof. LOL
I do think we should ditch those projects that "send messages of our existence" out.
Our own history should be enough to tell us we don't want to do anything to attract a more advanced culture .

We must be the most arrogant creatures in the known universe to think that aliens will spend the zillions upon zillions of dollars to make constant trips from their home planet to Earth and back. You think they are coming for the Rap Music maybe?

According to one sci-fi theme , they are watching us to make sure we do not develop interstellar travel as we are too violent to be allowed out of the solar system.
