Its common knowledge the obama admin helped Iran squash the last govt protest by iranians by remaining silent and not supporting them. Thats before they gave the good govt half a billion. For those that want to dispute obama stayed silent hers one of his own admitting it.

Former Obama Official: US 'Chose to Not Be as Supportive' of 2009 Iranian Protesters

Lindsey Graham, a one time 2016 GOP presidential rival of Trump, lambasted Barack Obama (https://www.politico.com/story/2017/12/31/graham-iran-protests-obama-failed-319825)as an abject failure for his appeasement of the Islamic Republic rather then standing up for its protesters yearning for freedom. The South Carolina Senator showed support for the current protesters saying “The Iranian people are not our enemy. The Ayatollah is the enemy of the world.”
Graham told his interviewer that Obama's approach failed.

MAJOR GARRETT: --in Iran. What is the import of these demonstrations on the street, and what should President Trump do or say about them?
LINDSEY GRAHAM: Well, it tells us that the Obama approach of relieving sanctions, hoping the regime would moderate, has failed. The people are not getting the benefit of sanctions relief. They're more upset with their oppressors than ever. The money from sanction relief has gone into rebuilding the Iranian military, and they're destabilizing the Mideast. (emphasis added)
Garaham encouraged President Trump to have “a nationwide address pretty soon explaining why the Iranian nuclear deal is a bad deal for the world, what a better deal would look like, and urge Congress and the European allies to get a better deal with Iran -- before it's too late.”
Graham then laid into Obama even more, advising the current president to do the polar opposite of what Obama did while in office.

... to bring down the Islamist regime.

The US should stay out of the protests.

We helped cause them, by supporting the regime. Just like all the violence we fomented in Egypt, when the Obamidiot's asinine foreign policy FORCED the muslim brotherhood upon the Egytptian people (where it had be BANNED, just months before), gave them $1.5 billion, against the expressed wishes of Congress, then ran away when the Egyptian people were forced to throw out the terrorist government themselves. They HATE OBAMA/HILLARY to this day.

We should be prepared to help the Iranian people achieve ACTUAL FREEDOM, any way we can, if it becomes a viable possibility.

We have not supported Iranian regimes...

... since the overtaking of our embassy during the Carter administration.
