Certainly promising we could put man back on the moon and then Mars in my lifetime, but we still need to come up with a better propulsion system for space travel.

Your right; there has to be a better and more efficient way to accomplish this; i'm sure over time they'll develop a system to speed up space travel.

Perhaps but if we ever find other habitable planets, it will be the end of civilization. They are the ultimate gated communities.
