Can't happen in the NCAA, Florida's best place is #2 behind Ala. or ND.

Florida lost their #1 hopes losing to Georgia. late Oct.

ROOOOOOOOOOL Tide Gator fan.

SEC rules NCAA football, for the time being.

I'm glad Notre Dame is in the national championship but I really wish they were playing Oregon instead of Alabama. It's getting old seeing Alabama, Florida, and teams like that every year.

I was really hoping for a Bama - Oregon matchup. I think Bama or OU would crush ND, but we'll see.

FL had their chance and blew it, like GA...not a lot of sympathy, at least they got their chance. Can't wait for a playoff

I know the sec is considered the best but I just get tired of hearing about it and seeing those teams in the main bowl games. I'd prefer Notre Dame to win instead of Alabama but I guess we will see what happens. The Oregon vs Kansas State game should be really good though I think.

I agree Im tired of the SEC too but until another conference steps up I cant blame them for always winning the championship. I'll probably cheer for ND but I just think it'll be tough. I never thought they'd go undefeated during the season though so shows what I know

Definitely looking forward to Oregon KSU, there should be a lot of points!

Chloe, Conley I understand y'alls sentiments, but me, growing up in Alabama and being a Bama fan you can understand I just ain't feelin' it from ya.

I'd love to see Bama in it year after year, deserving so of course, so I hope y'all don't mind if I ride the top as looooong as possible cause I know the tide will turn, as they say, and Bama will struggle by with hopes of an invite to one of the many toilet bowls.

ROLL TIDE

BTW I do agree the Ducks and the Wildcats should be one of the better bowl games to watch.

OH and Conley, there will be a 4 team playoff beginning 2014. Should be fun.

Yup, four teams is a good start and I'm looking forward to it. I'm not hating on Bama, they've earned it...I remember Bama being down for a long time, for ex the Shula years... it's good to see traditional powers come back, good for the game IMO

though i am Stuck in this Frozen Tundra Corry Pa i was Born in Gainsville Fla and Grew Up in Jasper which is on The Fla Ga Line so I bleed Orange and Blue though i dont think Notre Dame can Beat Bama who did Notre Dame Play all year anybody in the top 10 their schedule is why they are undefeated if they had Played Fla Schedule they would have lost 3 games

If they had played in the SEC they'd have losses.

Yep, there's no way ND would be undefeated in the SEC...only top 25 win is Stanford I think right? They beat up on a lot of lousy teams

Actually they played 4 top 25 teams;

then #10 Michigan St. 6-6, now # out,

then #18 Michigan 8-4, still #18,

then #17 Stanford 11-2, now #6,

then #8 Oklahoma 10-2, now #11

ND played a good schedule, they really should join a football conference and play a conf. championship game.

Good point Hangers! Ah yeah, I forgot about the game in Norman. They were very impressive there. Michigan and Michigan State aren't good teams IMO.

I looked up their SOS, it's good like you said...comparable to Bama. #24 and #31 according to Sagarin and this other one

Maybe it will be a close game, that's all I'm asking for

ND doesnt really have incentive to join a conference if they can get to the BCS without playing in a conference championship, and they get to keep all the money from the bowls and TV contract instead of splitting up. When ND football was down I thought they'd end up having to join a conference but now that they're strong again and TV ratings are what they are I think they can keep going independent
