Interesting chart. Fairly accurate imho.

Some folks may disagree.

Anywho, here it is. Discuss.

The media is very selective on what they report. For instance they reported the shooter in FL but did you hear about the church in TX that a gunman entered the same day, held around 100 hostage and a member finally tackled him got the gun away only to be shot by police when they arrived mistaken for the gunman. If they can't bring the narrative against guns they are looking for what they call hate crimes and it's never a hate crime against Christians.

That is the guy that disarmed the possible Church shooter. This story wasn't important to the main stream media.

The shooter in FL killed 17 kids. That will always be a bigger story than a gunman that was neutralized by citizens without a causality.

No one said it wasn't but I assure you they would have reported a so called hate crime that day. Even if it's a symbol on a sidewalk, a note to a waiter, ect. It's like the couple that were kidnapped, raped burned in TN, they were not interested in that story. It took years before the national media would even say anything, then only one reported it.

The main reason is there is no money in it. Most news organizations are in business to make money; ratings = money, all other considerations are secondary. That's the way it's been for the past few decades ever since Accountants and lawyers took over running media outlets in most cases.

No it doesn't fit their narrative. They would make more if they told the truth. It's not about money it's swaying the public to think the way they do. The truth sells lies don't. It may sell for a while then it bites them.

Media is a business selling information. All sellers know that what sells best is what the buyers want. They constantly float stories. If the stories generate interest, they cover it more. If not, the stories sink deeper into the publication or website. This is why most media doesn't have stories about Boy Scouts building houses or Girl Scouts helping little old ladies as their lead stories; it's not that media business doesn't care, it's because viewers don't care.

Reason.Com is libertarian not conservative. The chart is too narrow in view.

Thanks. If you slip the entire image to the left two columns you might just have something worth discussing.
