Unfortunately, a President cannot be chief cook and bottle washer and still do a good job. There are not enough hours in a day, unless he's not a human being but some kind of artificial intelligence that can do 10 or 12 things at the same time 24/7.

At the moment, no one with a reputation will apply for any of the openings because Trump throws them all under the bus if they disagree with him or if he has to defend them when they do what he wants. There is no winning for them. Working for him is a career destroyer. The attrition rate is atrocious and we are just one year into his Presidency. Being President is a highly stressful job even with help. Both Bush and Obama aged rapidly during their tenure - far more than they would have in their regular occupations.

Trump is over 70 years old and not a "good" specimen in that regard despite any claims made by his doctors. People are not blind. He's overweight, doesn't exercise, eat properly or get enough sleep. Recipe for disaster at his age. Add undue stress to that equation and he will be physically well over 80 before his first term is over. If any more of his advisors etc leave, it will increasingly fall to him to make decisions alone, with no advice on topics where he has absolutely no knowledge. If you think that he's facing extreme scrutiny and derision now, just wait. It will get worse and will become more and more bi-partisan. He'll be lucky to physically survive until the next election.
