Joe Newby (http://libertyunyielding.com/2012/12/11/union-thugs-go-on-violent-rampage-over-right-to-work-bill-assault-steven-crowder/) has already adequately conveyed the mayhem and level of incivility on display by members of big labor (http://www.examiner.com/topic/big-labor) in Lansing following the state legislature’s passage on Tuesday of a right-to-work law. Joe focuses on a crowd of miscreants who assaulted FOX News contributor Steven Crowder and tore down a tent set up the conservative website Americans for Prosperity.

But a more revealing example of how the left comports itself when things don’t go its way is suggested by a story at the blog Ironic Surrealism (http://www.ironicsurrealism.com/2012/12/12/union-thugs-demolish-clint-tarvers-iconic-lansingmichigan-hot-dog-cart-photo-donation-link/), suggested in turn by reader JPeterman. According to the account, the union thugs didn’t just take out their frustration on outsiders, such as Crowder. They also went after locals like Clint Tarver, aka “The Hot Dog Guy.”

Tarver, who is black, was the object of racist taunts and jeers that included “N**ger Uncle Tom.” His iconic hot dog cart was destroyed, which was perhaps the unkindest cut of all. And what had Tarver done to incur the wrath of a crowd of cretins? Nothing other than venturing to near the Capitol, which action – last time anyone checked – was within his constitutional rights.

This is who these people really are.

They're racist, violent, and hateful VANDALS who will stop at NOTHING to get their way via destroying all opposition.

I don't think you are going to find many people that will actually defend the people that did this to him. There are bad people of all races and political points of view, but those people do not represent everybody.

The sad thing isn't that I won't find people who will defend the people who did this to him, the sad thing is that I won't find Democrats who will openly condemn these activities and the racist tactics used to get their way.

Obama will never tell these people they are wrong.

No Democrat in power will.

These are the people who are giving them the money for their ads and campaigns.

I mostly agree with that. I think some democrats have probably condemned the violence but they probably won't say any details or anything.

There are bad people of all races and political points of view, but those people do not represent everybody. Yes they do and they fucking know it. They LEAD unions for fuck sake and claim to represent "workers" and in so doing set a standard by which all unions will be judged just as I will be judged by liberals in my walk as a Christian, just as cops will be judged by the actions of a few. Just as lawyers and judges and doctors and teachers will be judged. This is not uncommon in the trade union movement...anger and fear creation are their biggest weapons. These neanderthals haven't figured out that no one wins a strike, but they keep on doing it. It was unions that drove Chrysler and GM to bankruptcy and are destroying public education. Thugs are thugs. Blatant selfish evil.

The best we have seen from the liberal left is to wax philosophic about how all walks of life have 'bad' people....but let one conservative wear a gun in public, well, that just fucking proves every conservative on the face of the planet is a baby killing assassin slobbering his chops waiting to kill again!

And VERY RARELY is it that you see a Liberal condemning these actions.
"That's just the way some people are" they'll say, as if that justifies it.

I really don't think that the majority of liberals would applaud someone being hurt or called names like that. If you don't want conservatives to be judged as a whole then you shouldn't do the same to liberals in my opinion

Not publicly, Chloe, but they're getting high fives from the brother thugs in the union. When the union leaders and the union members cover for these thugs--never rat a brother--then they most certainly do represent the group. It's the same as the OWS nitwits whining that the violent anarchists didn't represent them but OWS assisted and covered for them.

Yes, they represent the union. Be proud.

Chloe: "I really don't think that the majority of liberals would applaud someone being hurt or called names like that. If you don't want conservatives to be judged as a whole then you shouldn't do the same to liberals in my opinion."

I have been impressed, Chloe, with the leftists who have condemned this. Oh, wait a minute. There hasn't been any. There have been stories about how this was done by evil conservatives and there has been crickets from the socialist media. I don't know if the majority of "liberals" applaud Bill Maher calling Gov. Palin a "****" and a "twat" but they certainly don't speak out against it. I don't know of "liberals" support racism and hatred but they certainly don't speak out against it when it's coming from a "liberal". When President Obama tries to inflame racism it is largely ignored.

Sorry, Chloe, but it doesn't play.

I've said this all my life; at the end of the day, no matter what anyone says or thinks, if you're Black in this world, the N-World is never far from the tip of some people tongue. All you need to do is get then angry ... don't let anyone tell you racism is a think of the past.

...everyone is prejudice to a certain point...there's being prejudice (biased), which everyone is, and then there's racist, which only a few are...it's part of human nature to be "leary" of someone that's different...and let's be honest every war in history is about two sides that look at things different...it's human nature...

Fair enough. I don't fully agree but I understand what you are saying.

These are angry democrats that give money to elect people like Obama and want to hurt those that disagree with them. This shows what the democrat party has become

Quit hanging out with liberals. And, just remember, Cigar, if you get them really angry and they don't say "nigger" you can still claim they did. Hey, works for people in Congress.

When I was growing up in my hometown, my next door neighbor's father was a member of the Ku Klux Klan Nights of Camellia out of Beaumont, Texas. I was 8 years old at the time and played football, baseball, cops and robbers, cowboys and indians with my neighbors son, who I really liked. We were, like all pre-teens, very close and slept over at each others house, eating at each others table. I said grace with his family, and he, at mine. Both families were dedicated Christians. Church-going Christians. [ For the liberals on this forum, yes, the Kluxers that lived next door were Christians. Beleivers in Christ. The best introduction to this interesting phenomena is Pastor Will D. Campbell and his ministry to the Ku Klux Klan 1965-90. See Wikipedia: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Will_D._Campbell (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Will_D._Campbell) ]

One summer I was invited by my friend to a "special summer camp" north of Beaumont. I remember we swam, fished, hiked and had a great time. We shot .22 rifles, hunted squirrels, BBQ'ed, chased girls and ran around in circles yelling and screaming as only 8-year olds can. Until we got to the pool. While we were frolicking in the water (fed by a spring off the Trinity River), I called out to my friend and said, "Hey -x- where are all the black kids!" I distinctly remember the pool suddenly becoming deathly quiet ... eerily quiet. I looked around and wondered what I had said, until the lifeguard, a young (very good looking, blond, tall 20 year old young man) jumped into the pool, waded over to me, grabbed me by the shoulder and said, "They dont belong here. Its just us. People like you." He looked me in the eye, smiled and patted me on the back then swam away. People like you.

I remember that experience (1974) like it was yesterday.

Liberals tell us: "They dont belong here. Its just us. People like you."

Today's black David Duke is the leader of the modern White Knights of the Liberal Ku Klux Klan. Racist Kluxers like the families I met in 1974. If your not liberal-minded, racist, anti-Semitic, anti-white, anti-gun, anti-American, you dont belong here. The Kluxer leader in the White House, tells us that black conservatives are simple minded (Chicago Morning News, 2004), Uncle Toms (Chicago Peoples Party speech, June, 2003), and part of the white mans world (Chicago Tribune, March, 2008).
