Tea Party types, going outside the GOP establishment laid the groundwork and the democrats reacted with ill-considered overreach made the conditions right.
While the right-to-work Tea Party types did not oust the establishment GOP, they showed them that a logical message can sell even in erstwhile Democrat strongholds.
