Police say five teenagers were shot and two others were trampled at a concert for high school students on Sunday night in Mobile, Alabama.
Police Chief Lawrence Battiste said in a news conference on Monday that all seven victims are teenagers between the ages of 15 and 18. Six people were treated and released, but one of the shooting victims remains hospitalized in critical condition.
Police say the violence began with a fight outside the teen concert venue. Five people were hit by bullets, and two more were injured as people tried to rush inside fleeing the gunfire.

Five shot during incident Sunday night at underage rap concert in Mobile.....

The shooting happened at the Grand Hall event space on Halls Mill Road, according to a spokesperson for the Mobile Police Department. Shots were fired outside the hall around 10:40 p.m., during an event involving mostly teenagers. The event was advertised as a rap concert for high school students.

A clean up manager that arrived at the location in the morning told AL.com that it was the first time he could remember any trouble at the venue. "When you mix guns and kids with attitudes, these things happen," said Reynolds Parker, 57, who had worked at Grand Hall for seven years. "Nothing surprises me anymore."
