AP -- McConnell shuts down bill to protect Mueller. Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell on Tuesday thwarted a bipartisan effort to protect special counsel Robert Mueller’s job, saying he will not hold a floor vote on the legislation even if it is approved next week in the Senate Judiciary Committee. McConnell said the bill is unnecessary because President Donald Trump will not fire Mueller. “We’ll not be having this on the floor of the Senate,” McConnell said on Fox News.

Good.....we don't need to be wasting time on what ifs. Moreover he should have told the Demos he wont put forth any bills they come up with until they start finishing whats on the Senate agenda. Like all those confirmation hearings that the Demos are slow rolling for Judges and Trumps cabinet people and administration held positions.

He also should have told them they will now be working all weekends until they get that Senate business finished.

Having a branch of the federal government directed by a clueless, belligerent four-year-old is already one branch too many.

It was an attempt to usurp the power of the President. It is good for the nation that it was blocked.

Good to see Trump succeeding on actual issues. Versus the past 4 years of BS bathroom debates. I love the people here that are supporters of do nothing biz as usual. #losers
