DNC Reveals Their Future Victory Plans Including… Reparations (Of Course) (http://freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/3649571/posts)

Talk about counting your chickens before they’ve hatched. The Free Beacon [http://freebeacon.com/politics/reve...ail&utm_term=0_b5e6e0e9ea-3ba1b1010a-46167297 (http://freebeacon.com/politics/revealed-dream-democrat-agenda-includes-reparations/?utm_source=Freedom+Mail&utm_campaign=3ba1b1010a-EMAIL_CAMPAIGN_2018_04_20&utm_medium=email&utm_term=0_b5e6e0e9ea-3ba1b1010a-46167297)] has obtained the agenda from a recent Democratic donors’ conference in Atlanta featuring many party luminaries, up to and including the DNC Chairman. They’re brimming with confidence at this point (or at least putting on a good show of it), offering a “time machine” trip into the near future after they not only sweep the 2018 midterms and the 2020 elections but flip most of the country blue and institute a larger blue wave of progressive reforms. So what’s on the agenda after they control all the machinery of government?
In this version of coming events, by 2022 they will have already instituted universal Medicare for all. College tuition will be a thing of the past, with everyone going to school “for free.” And while they don’t mention it specifically, one can safely assume that they will have rid the United States of all guns, kitchen cutlery, baseball bats and socks which might contain half a brick. But in the opening days of 2022, they have something else on the agenda: reparations for slavery. (Emphasis added)
A wealthy Democratic donor club plotting the future of the liberal movement hopes to be fighting for reparations by 2022, according to a document obtained by the Washington Free Beacon from the Democracy Alliance’s fall conference this week in Atlanta.
The desire was stated in the invitation for a Monday reception during the biannual conference, which was attended by top Democratic Party officials such as DNC chairman Tom Perez, former Virginia governor Terry McAuliffe, and Reps. Raul Grijalva (Ariz.) and Mark Pocan (Wis.).
The reception, “Way to Win: 2022 Victory Party,” was presented as a look forward at what’s possible if Democrats can be effective in coming elections.
“It’s 2022 and we are celebrating policy victories across the nation: Medicare for All and Free College, and next on the agenda is Reparations,” the group projected, according to an invitation to the event.

Reparations, gun confiscation, and open borders. An excellent DNC campaign strategy! Where can I send a check?
The idea that white Americans have to pay a price for slavery betrays a monumental ignorance of history. The Civil War was the price, and it was a horrendous price.
Maybe the modern descendants of slaves can pay death benefits (adjusted for 150+ years of interest and inflation of course) to the descendants of the tens of thousands of Irish and European immigrants and hundreds of thousands more that fought and died for the North in the Civil War so they could be free? Fair is fair.
Reparations make as much sense as tearing down and defacing statues of Confederate leaders, Founding Fathers, Columbus etc.
Here's an Idea, why can't all these rich Liberals pay for reparations, since it was their party the Democratic Party which was pro-slavery, the KKK, Jim Crow, etc?

One thing you can count one: The Democrat Party will over-reach, resulting in a conservative whipsaw backlash. They couldn't help themselves in 2008, resulting in 2010. They had to go full-on left wing, resulting in 2010. It'll happen. There's no middle in the Democrat Party.

That is exactly why McConnell should go with the Nuke Option and get rid of that filibuster requiring 60 votes. He should already know that is what the Demos will do should they gain power.

He should not change the way that the Senate has operated forever. He should not fundamentally transform the way the senate does things for short term gain. I think that they should undo the Nuclear Option on all judges.

Taking the high road is not going to stop the Demos from nuking it. Moreover, they have changed the filibuster from what was intended. The whole point was to have debate. Not shut down debate.

I have no issue with paying reparations to any American alive today who was a slave back in the early period of our nation.
