View Full Version : Republicans Would Rather Blow Up Foreigners Than Feed Americans

Republicans and so-called "conservatives" tend to portray themselves as defenders of small government and American traditions. Many of them post on this forum.

But when it comes to things like "national security" or "law and order", these so-called defenders of small government and American traditions cannot grow government or spend your tax money fast enough.

And despite the repeated warnings of founders like Washington and Jefferson to remain neutral in foreign affairs, these fake conservatives do everything in their power to take sides and otherwise insinuate themselves into every squabble or conflict that emerges around the world, costing American taxpayers trillions of dollars in the process.

These "conservatives" also like to talk about the national sovereignty of America, yet they are clearly prostituting themselves before a foreign power, Israel. These defenders of "small government" and "nationalism" are always trying to find ways to give more of your money to Israel.

Meanwhile, American schools, roads, hospitals, etc., are underfunded or mismanaged or both. And American taxpayers are increasingly exhausted.

The "conservative" Republican solution to this problem is not to reduce the exorbitant spending on the bloated military or domestic police state, but to cut funding for welfare programs that provide aid to the most vulnerable among us.

Americans deserve better than this. Hopefully the increasingly aged and out of touch Republican party will change as the population becomes younger.

Change the Constitution.

"Blowing up foreigners" is a constitutionally authorized function of government.

Charity is not.

Change the Constitution.

Conservative Republicans don't really care about the constitution either, just like they don't really care about American traditions. They only care about what benefits them personally and emotionally.

"Blowing up foreigners" is a constitutionally authorized function of government.

Only if the Congress authorizes it. But even when such authorization hasn't been given, Republicans will defend the action.

In any case, is it really a defense of massive, wanton violence to say that it's constitutional? And is wasting trillions of US tax dollars on wars of aggression somehow justified because it was all technically legal?

Charity is not.

Neither is the federal drug war, but that hasn't stopped Republicans from enforcing and defending it with gusto.

The truth is, conservative Republicans pick and choose which parts of the constitution they want to follow and which parts of the constitution they want to throw into the trash. They are not really the "law and order" types they portray themselves as.

The standard Republican is a traitor to the nation who sees it fit to steal money to service the functions that they like. The small government rhetoric is nonsensical bullshit.

Subsidizing the military industrial complex is charity. Very dangerous and murderous charity, but charity nonetheless.

The constitution was thrown out the window a long time ago. It means nothing now. It's basically every man for himself at this point. Republicans want to take your money and hand it over to big banks, arms manufacturers, jackbooted security services and sundry foreign interests while slashing your grandma's social security check.

Can you provide specifics as to how big banks and jackbooted security services are getting money while granny's social security is being slashed?

Should our military be forced to be scavengers and salvage scrapped equipment?

By the way, Social Security recipients received a modest increase in benefits this year. When was the last time Social Security benefits were actually cut?

Yes, because everyone knows there are only two options: spend exorbitant and wasteful amounts of money on military/defense where very little of that money actually goes toward our troops, and have our military fight in t-shirts and board shorts with sticks and stones.

No other options, just those two.

I'm not sure how that was an answer, but can you tell me last time Granny's Social Security was cut?

You're one who said all of those things are happening while granny's Social Security is getting slashed. I didn't realize asking you to factually defend your comments was introducing a strawman, false dichotomy or a loaded question.

LOL , what we need to do is get back to a "common defense" vs. a "common offense" which is what we are doing now. Kids sign up to defend their country and are used as pawns for interventionism/imperilism and to feed the megacorps. It also takes the focus off the lousy job the donkephant has done domsetically

You need to quit worshiping Washington. He was a man not a God. Show me where even he would have supported welfare. You're really off base.

I agree with a lot of what you say but not that Washington and Jefferson were god-like and knew it all.

You don't know much about the Constitution. To quote Justice Jackson(I think) "The Constitution is not a suicide pact."

You aren't the end all be all on that document.
