From The Wall Street Journal, as regarding the recent fiscal-cliff talks between President Obama and Rep. Boehner:

At one point, according to notes taken by a participant, Mr. Boehner told the president, "I put $800 billion [in tax revenue] on the table. What do I get for that?"

"You get nothing," the president said. "I get that for free."

For those who may still be uncerain as to whether President Obama deserves to be considered a genuine statesman or merely a political hack, I believe the above words are quite instructive.

Republicans should just stop trying to make a deal with Obama

Lets go off the cliff then gain some actual leverage

Then the House can sit and stall every bill until Obama and Hairy Reed play ball

We should have learned at least under Reagan that you can only negotiate with someone you trust. When dealing with criminals there is not negotiation. You give, they take, and then they laugh at you. That's how unions work. That's how the socialists work. That's how the Democrat Party works. They are not to be trusted.

Now watch the King raise taxes, raise spending, increase the deficit, raise the debt, and destroy the economy. Enjoy.

Since we're talking about arrogance, I would be remiss in not mentioning that President Obama used his eulogy for Sen. Inouye to tell yet another story of....himself. Did you know his had a black father and a white mother? I wonder how long he can ride that train.

Here we have an idiot, Boehner , not understanding a great Presidential light hearted remark and then someone reporting it who themselves still does not see the joke .
Along with Chris , Mister Dee et al ( you all know Al ) you should be asking God to save America , not to bless it .
You need extra funny bones in a new Turkey hybrid breed and especially for Hilly Billy people .

And your evidence that this was merely a "light hearted remark," not to be taken seriously, is...what, exactly?

Or do you just get a secret thrill by blowing smoke up...well, I won't say it...
