Ive read that the media is downplaying the 4th of july this year because they are agasp over Scotus decision on Union dues and Kennedys retirement.

Neither of those issues have a damn thing to do with July 4th and what it should represent to Americans.

Independence Day, also referred to as the Fourth of July or July Fourth, is a federal holiday (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Federal_holidays_in_the_United_States) in the United States commemorating the adoption of the Declaration of Independence (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/United_States_Declaration_of_Independence) on July 4, 1776. The Continental Congress (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Second_Continental_Congress) declared that the thirteen American colonies (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Thirteen_colonies) regarded themselves as a new nation, the United States of America (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/United_States), and were no longer part of the British Empire (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/British_Empire).[1] (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Independence_Day_%28United_States%29#cite_note-whatis-1) The Congress actually voted to declare independence two days earlier, on July 2.[1] (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Independence_Day_%28United_States%29#cite_note-whatis-1)

A patriotic celebration is an anathema to the enemy media. Ther real Americans will celebrate the Declaration of Independence.
