It's been back and forth all night and now dead even. This is Kasichs district and dominated by the R's for decades. Amazing.

It shows what money and media can do in one district. Still in spite of the onslaught the Republican wins. That tells me a lot

As you know, I maintain that the only poll that matters is the one held on election day. All others are mere window dressing.

in 2016 this district had 377,000 votes cast. today there were only 203,000 cast. in 2016 the democrat received 115,000 votes. today he received 100,000. seems to me the democrat was able to maximize his votes in a district that I didn't know I was voting in until about a week ago. also interesting is that in all the advertising that oconnor did (about 40-1) he never mentioned he was a democrat. I didn't know the republicans name until I went to vote. MSNBC coverage managed to make a democat loss a win. amazing how they do that.

So which party was it that spent five times the amount of the other, only to have the vote vastly reduced from that declared in 2016?

Apparently the GOP candidate won this election, that is really all that matters at this point.

You know that doesn't matter now because the GOP was the ones spending the money, however, I do remember the hard right here crying about the money spent in other special elections when their candidate lost, now the same hacks are saying all that is irrelevant because all that really matters is their guy won.

Hacks will hack.

That would be your idols the Democrats. Outspent Repubs and not counting all of the Demo Super PACS.

To come up with.....well we almost won. You know the almost with Horseshoes.

Have you figured out yet that Trump made a last minute appearance and it was enough to cause the Demos to lose, yet?

3 decades and Kasich is a Never Trumper. Outspoken Never Trumper to boot, and yet Trump makes a last minute showing and the left comes up with.....Almost.

Hopefully future elections will also require spending at the same level which should create a few bankruptcy's. Well, there's always Trump's I'll gotten gains žo bail them out, what with him being such an altruist.

Allways living in the past because you can't stomach the present. It's very noticeable with your posts.

The present is the Republican appears to have won. If the Democrats manage to raise the dead as they usually do this may change. I don't care who spent what, all I care about is the socialist lose. And speaking of living in the past despite the overwhelming lack of evidence regarding the so called Russian Collusion you and your ilk won't let it go.

Look what money does in a nation. 95% of the people vote "A" or "B" while NEVER holding "A or "B" collectively accountable.
Just apply that in theory to your company or agency. Lets say for example two shifts, both blame the other for all the problems and at the same time take credit for all the successes , while refusing to work together for the benefit of the company.

How long would either shift last? If the company kept getting new employees from two rival employment agencies and the same stuff kept happening how long would they keep using those agencies.
If they did keeping using those agencies and lost money year after year how long would they be in business?

I read in the local paper that most of Baldersons for funds came from outside PACS etc and most of O'Connors was small grass roots contributions within the state.

Well, I certainly hope, for all our Rodent pals, that in the future EVERY ELECTION is the same kind of big win for them as this won was.
