Its... BLOCKED!
I read about it. A coach when I was young wanted me on his team, that is baseball. I had an arm and could out pitch any of those boys and a killer curve. Dad said no but I do understand it was a different time back then and he didn't want me to be the first girl even tho he taught me. My younger brother got a baseball scholarship. I think it's great but even now no football for any of mine with boys. I don't even like boys playing that young.
The physical differences will only increase rapidly as she gets older. What are they 13? It's cute and all but girls can't compete with me boys in some respects.
I coached youth soccer from U-6 through U-16, the U-12 class was still co-ed and I can tell you from experience, I would have taken an entire team full of girls.
From a technical standpoint, they are just about at the skill level as boys at that age although the real team studs - the kids who would go out there and just tear up the field and score at will tended to be boys, but from the maturity standpoint - no comparison.
Tell the girls to do something and they do it, or try. Standing on the sideline, tell girls to pay attention and be ready to go into the game and they do just that. Boys - yeah right, they're whacking each other over the head with sticks and running around in the creek behind the bench.
