Except this action is the exact opposite of what he promised he would do during his campaign. During the campaign, he said he would stay out of Syria, that the president had no authority to attack Syria without congressional authorization, and that the US and Russia had a common interest in fighting terrorism in Syria. Trump is violating multiple important promises he made to Americans and you're cheering for it because you think it makes the US look tough. In reality, it makes the US look stupid, arrogant, and aggressive. That's why only two other countries - France and the UK - participated in the attacks. The rest of the world wanted nothing to do with it. Germany has
just announced that there is no solution in Syria without Assad. Our own Kurdish allies in Syria
have said that overthrowing Assad is a bad idea. Christians in Syria rely on Assad's government for
their protection. Attacking Assad is aiding and abetting Islamist terrorism.
