You need to look at the reasons for that hatred. It is justified.
Congress is considering a bill to take away the insane power that Trump has with the nuclear football, seeking approval from congress before he does the dirty deed!
Trump is ruling by FEAR.
It's right at the beginning of the poll. And it's also very close to the sampling you declare to be valid.

First off, I don't any American "hates" Trump, but it would be fair to say that there is a sizable amount of people who intensely "dislike" the president and don't feel he is acting in the best interests of America, instead the best interests of corporations and the very well-to-do. Likewise there are righties who feel that the Obama presidency was an absolute disaster on all counts.
Are they right? I think it depends on what thread politically you are cut from; there are some who wouldn't get within 10 feet of Trump or Obama and others who'd most likely take warm showers with them if they had the opportunity. Some on both the right and left who are so shrouded in their political beliefs that they are unable to rationalize objectively and others who are moderates (which I believe a majority of the nation are; the silent ones) who will listen to both sides and formulate an opinion and respect others regardless of viewpoint. To me these are the people whose viewpoints matter the most to myself and many Americans.
Whether it has an impact remains the opinion of the individual. That's the way it has been and the way it'll always be.
