Yep, that stuff lasts. I've never lived anywhere with a fryer. If I did I certainly wouldn't trust any of my housemates / apartmentmates with it. :laugh:

I'm making a spicy marinara sauce with linguine right now. I used a bunch of garlic. I like it that way. I'll hit it with some oregano at the end and some more crushed red pepper.
Wrapping this up with a cup of ginger oolong. I'll have to get some more of this. I ordered a sample which equals about two or three cups depending on how strong you make it. As you can imagine it tastes a lot like ginger ale.
Has anyone here ever made their own ginger tea (herbal tea is not tea, BTW)? It's supposed to be good for your stomach and digestion. Seems easy enough. I think you just slice ginger and let it steep in boiled water.

Ginger Tea Recipe
water, 4 cups
2-inch piece of fresh ginger root
optional: honey and lemon slice
Peel the ginger root and slice it into thin slices. Bring the water to a boil in a saucepan. Once it is boiling, add the ginger. Cover it and reduce to a simmer for 15-20 minutes. Strain the tea. Add honey and lemon to taste.
Note: Keep in mind that if you are making ginger tea as a home remedy during cold and flu season, sweeteners are not recommended.
