    Greener. It releases gases trapped for a century and easily re-trapped in the next tree vs. releasing gases trapped for millions of years . We also burned less per person, way less and had a lot less people. But yes it's time to finally come all the way out of the stone age and quit burning stuff to produce energy. But it will be a process, not an event.

    How can something that pollutes the air, be green?

    Big cities have burn ban days, no wood burning fireplaces/stoves, due to the impact of the smoke on people with allergies and, other respiratory conditions.

    Does that sound, 'green?'
