Manning broke the law. End of story. If Kushner broke the law, he should face the consequences.

Trump helped plan Kashoogi's murder with MBS?
Kushner uses intelligence for nefarious purposes?
    Kushner breaches intelligence?
Trump's people using classified information like a mob boss to whack folks for a good business deal?

How you can defend the state's wish to incarcerate or kill a man who made it clear that the government considers US the enemy is unclear to me. It's not like selling nuke secrets to our cold war competitors. He let us know that the government was out of line and spying on us. Therefore he is a hero and a patriot. Remember if no one broke any laws in the name of freedom, free societies including ours ( to the extent it remains free) would have never come into existence. THEY SPIED on AMERICANS without due process. NOT exposing them would of been the true crime!

Did he receive any cash? They have told you there was a lot more info but have they ever been specific. Your government named you as the enemy when they indicted Manning. Even if he did try to sell the info the info HAD to come out.
But let me ask you a question. Once the warrantl;erss spying was exposed were you in favor of allowing it to continue as we have? Because that is a whole new level of lockstep.

True. But still spying on Americans behind our back is by far the worst sin here. Our alligence to our country is based upon certain standards the government must uphold. when they fail it becomes our duty to expose them. And when they fail to uphold very principals they draw their authority through the people to uphold, it becomes our duty to replace them

Manning didn't disclose anything about the US spying on its citizens. That was Snowden.

The wholly trustworthy American government claims Snowden stole more than a million documents. They also claim the Russians and Chinese have translated more than a million documents.

I cannot recall allegations that Snowden tried to sell information. I do know he released a Prism powerpoint briefing that unequivocally proves the wholly trustworthy US government is collecting everything we citizens do. The Federal government is an enormously powerful, dangerous monster.

As Peter pointed out I was incorrectly talking about Snowden, not Manning

In my opinion this is a gross misstatement. Which top brass (I assume you mean flag ranked individuals) routinely broke the law?
It is not cool when our secrets get leaked. But a large portion of the stuff that came out should not have been secret to begin with. The only reason for keeping the bulk of it secret was to hide bad or illegal behavior.
This is also untrue. Almost all of it is information created in the course of conducting operations.

No one has access to everything. I doubt Kushner has access to current intelligence operations, for example. I tend to doubt he has access to unfinished intelligence.

Instead of releasing that information to the public as a whistleblower, he instead uses it for his nefarious purposes in support of his step-dad. When it comes to getting assets compromised, I bet when the real story comes out eventually, he will be one of the worst security breaches in history. I don't even doubt it was Trump, through Kushner, that helped plan for Kashogi's murder with MBS.
Which is worse, people using classified info to run around like a mob boss helping to whack folks for a good business deal, or an honest patriot who releases information with the intention of enlightening their less intelligent American fellows?
This is kook stuff. Are you feeling okay?
