    democrats bad faith impeachment

From its earliest days, the Democrat quest to remove Trump has resembled the Road Runner and Wile E. Coyote. Democrats in hot pursuit of the elusive Trump proposed to remove him for virtually any sin that came to mind, only to see their efforts foiled.
One early Democrat article of impeachment would have removed the president for “sowing discord among the people of the United States” with controversial comments on Charlottesville, transgender troops, and Muslim immigration. Another Democrat attempt suggested removing Trump for attacking NFL players who did not stand for the national anthem. Then there was a proposal to remove him for tweeting about federal judges.
Others sought to impeach Trump for allegedly violating the Constitution’s Emoluments Clause. Finally, of course, many Democrats hoped to remove the president over the Trump-Russia affair.
Anticipation built for years, reaching a peak several months ago, just before the release of the Mueller report. And then, disappointment.
The core of the Democrat case against Trump was the allegation that Russia and the Trump campaign conspired or coordinated to fix the 2016 election. Many Democrats believed deeply that Trump was guilty, and sometimes fevered speculation filled countless hours on cable TV. But Robert Mueller could not even establish that conspiracy or coordination even happened, much less that Trump was guilty.
Some Democrats still hoped to impeach Trump for allegedly obstructing justice. Mueller’s report strongly suggested that Trump had committed obstruction, yet — in a move that angered Democrats — declined to reach a conclusion on the charge. Then, in July, Mueller made an underwhelming appearance on Capitol Hill. The air quickly seeped out of the impeachment balloon.
Then — voila! — up popped the Ukraine affair. Democrats saw a final opportunity to impeach Trump. They immediately began cutting corners to make it happen as quickly as possible.
First, Pelosi and her chosen impeachment czar, Rep. Adam Schiff, chose to skip the investigative stage that preceded earlier impeachments. The cases of both Richard Nixon and Bill Clinton involved extensive inquiries by special prosecutors who served as fact-finders. The same was true of the Mueller investigation.
But Mueller did not give Democrats what they wanted. Plus, he took two years to do it. Instead of calling for a special counsel investigation, Pelosi and Schiff decided to handle the investigating themselves, greatly increasing the chances they would reach the result they wanted.

It’s a strange standard to apply to a situation of Pelosi’s own making. Does she really think any legislation will move now that she’s taken the remarkable step of opening an impeachment inquiry? Impeachment, by its very nature, stops all other legislation. If the House does impeach, which it certainly will, nothing but the impeachment trial can be taken up in the Senate. Until this whole thing is over and done with, it’s all Congress is going to do.

resident Trump was only in office two weeks before a Democratic congressman called for his impeachment. On Feb. 1, 2017, mere days after the Trump’s inauguration, Rep. Joaquin Castro (D-Texas) said the House should consider impeaching the president in the event he doesn’t abide by court orders related to his travel ban.
President Trump did end up abiding by these court orders, but that didn’t stop Democrats’ calls for impeachment. Over the ensuing months, and years, Democrats have regularly come up with reasons why they should impeach the president.
At current count, Democrats have proffered 96 different reasons for impeaching Trump.
Below you’ll see a news list we’ve cross-posted from our sister site, NewsLists.co — the original is here — which is displayed chronologically.
By far the Democrats coming up with the most reasons for impeachment are Rep. Maxine Waters (D-Calif.) and Rep. Al Green (D-Texas). At current count, Waters has produced 14 different reasons she thinks Trump’s impeachable; Green’s come up with 18.
A few of the more interesting: Rep. Green suggested impeaching Trump after his supporters chanted “send her back” in reference to Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-Minn.); Rep. Waters has said he should be impeached simply for being “despicable.”
Those, of course, are just a sampling. See below for the comprehensive list. And if we’re missing any, you can add more by visiting NewsLists.co.

It is a soft coup. The legal system should handle the coup plotters and their supporters.

Don't cry to me about the potential penalties.

There was a list. I believe 98 times the Dems have said ...Impeach him. I didn't know it was that many, however have heard many times it started at the beginning of his term. It's totally disgusting...imo.. they would ever consider holding this weeks Impeachment hearings while the long scheduled NATO meeting is on...and then...say to the President...well you can attend the hearing.
