Red face AMENDMENT 64 PASSES - Colorado.

    http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2012/1...n_2079899.html

The Rocky Mountain High just got a whole lot higher. On Tuesday night, Amendment 64 -- the measure which sought the legalization of marijuana for recreational use by adults -- was passed by Colorado voters, making Colorado the first state to end marijuana prohibition in the United States.
Great. I wish I lived in Colorado. Weed is the most beautiful thing nature ever produced.

Lol, come on Calypso. This is a step towards more freedom. The whole country needs to pass this Amendment.

Opium is in any prescribed painkillers you take.
Coke used to be in Coke (the pop).
Caffeine is in almost all soft drinks, and coffee.
Did you know you have a chemical in your brain known as DMT that causes you to dream? That's a drug, you release a heavy dose of it right before you die (that's what creates Near Death Experiences).
The world is made of drugs, you can't stop all of them.

The last time I used the VA they gave me a morphine shot, the real deal, all I can say is DAMN! But I will never stick a needle into myself, hot nurses... Yeah, I'm weak that way, plus there was a ton of pain involved...

I get the beck and call of drugs and why they should or shouldn't be legal, but it all comes down to much simpler things. Cartels won't go away, and they can't be legitimized, but they currently control too much of all viable producers of certain products. That creates a problem. I want to know what the plan is to combat that problem. Understand where I come from, you seek change, fine, but my expectation is that you offer solutions to the consequences of change. The status quo suits me fine, I use no illegal substances. What you need is support from people like me, how will you get it? It won't work if you ask us to do the work that should have been done... Do you get what I'm say? Not trying to be offensive, but I want a plan, I want to know that if I supported your cause, it won't be worse than what we have...

Maybe the US doesn't want to stop the drugs coming across the border.

You might be right, it kills way more of them than us... Plus it creates a demon we can see, and if need be, spend money on to fight, as that war is incomplete with little or no attention by our re-elected loser. Unless of course you count his sorry and failed attempt at pretending US guns from AZ (at 3 to 4 times the cost per weapon) was the primary problem of arming cartels; which wasn't true then or now...
