Is the notion that each State is unique in their own beliefs and that a single States does not necessarily reflect the views of another State.

Which brings into question the Constitutionality of States making a pact with other States to join in a popular vote cabal of sorts. Are States allowed to 'collude' with other States at the State representative level and not at the individual level? What if State's voter make up changes and casts it's vote against the cabal's popular vote?

    Interesting question.
The states cannot enter into compacts without Congressional approval.

No State shall, without the Consent of Congress, lay any Duty of Tonnage, keep Troops, or Ships of War in time of Peace, enter into any Agreement or Compact with another State, or with a foreign Power, or engage in War, unless actually invaded, or in such imminent Danger as will not admit of delay.

Yet Colorado has recently adopted the provision that no matter how it's citizen's vote it will cast it's electoral college votes in concert with the popular vote of a select group of other States. In other words, Colorado representatives have forfeited it's citizen's individual rights to that of the 'collective.'

I can't see how that will get through SCOTUS.

Just think. You live in New York City and are rabidly left. But the majority of votes in 2020 go Trump, so NY has to have its Electors vote (R). Unimaginable.

Do they? Colorado recently joined the cabal of States who agree their delegates will vote in agreement of the 'popular vote' of such cabal of States.

When you hear of these Progressive Liberal Democrats talk about doing away with the Electoral College. It's not that it's an idea, they are already making the move and have been for years. Boot Edge Edge is just the first one to say it out loud to We The People.

I'm starting to the think of the Declaration of Independence again.

MV, Obama's attitude, in his initial campaign on the world stage, was that America was the 'problem' on the globe telling others what to do. Obama ran around the world apologizing for America interfering and telling others what do about their own business affairs.

Isn't it ironic, so ironic, now that Trump is telling the same to manage their own affairs, that the liberal progressive loony left is complaining 24x7 that Trump is pulling back and telling others to take care of their own affairs.

So, you're defending the right for the world to vote in our elections even if they are here as criminals who shouldn't even be here in the first damned place.
    What are you talking about?
God Bless America, God Bless our Military and God Bless the Police who defended the country against the insurgents on January 6, 2021

Think 3rd party for 2024 folks. Clean up America.

Once I tell you that we agree to disagree there will be no more discussion between us in the thread so please don't waste your time continuing to argue your points because I will not respond.
