I don't know enough about Israeli politics to comment on the OP but President Obama and Sec. of State Hillary Clinton are clearly backing the destruction of Israel and the elimination of the Jews.

Come sit down beside me I said to myself
And although it doesn't make sense
I held my own hand as a small sign of trust
And together I sat on the fence
Anon. Very anon.
It looks as though Britain and France have finally had enough of Netanyahu.
And it looks as though other European countries will follow suit.Britain has summoned Israel's ambassador in London, and is considering the possible recall of its ambassador to Tel Aviv, in response to Israel's announcement of settlement expansion. Israel authorised 3,000 additional settler homes following the vote by the United Nations general assembly to recognise the Palestinian state. The recall of the British ambassador would be a dramatic and unprecedented rebuke to the Israeli government, whose isolation was sharply illustrated by the overwhelming backing for the state of Palestine in New York last week. Only eight countries out of 193 rallied to Israel's side in opposing the move.
Britain is furious at Israel's decision to take punitive measures, including the authorisation of the new homes and the development of land east of Jerusalem known as E1 for settlement construction.
A Foreign Office spokesperson said: "We deplore the recent Israeli government decision to build 3,000 new housing units and unfreeze development in the E1 block. This threatens the viability of the two-state solution.http://www.guardian.co.uk/politics/2012/dec/03/uk-may-recall-israel-ambassador-settlement
Did I say pariah state? It will be interesting to see if moderate Jews want themselves to be again seen as they have been seen throughout history.

Israel certainly doesn't have a good PR team.
I see Netanyahu has dug in.
I wonder if Obama will convert his bunker into a grave.

For anyone who thinks the UN Palestine vote was, as the Israeli propaganda machine relentlessly claims, a cosmetic exercise, consider the prospect - becoming more real as Israel pursues yet grosser settlement policies - of a Palestinian legal intafada.
The UN gave Palestine statehood. Which means they can now claim access to:and a raft of others.
- The International Court of Justice - which can hear international treaty violations, including crimes against humanity
- The International Criminal Court - which can hear claims of war crimes against the Israelis
- The Law Of the Sea - which could permit the Palestinians to claim oil and gas mining rights off the Gaza coast, and control access to those waters
- The Civil Aviation treaty - which would allow Palestinians to control their own airspace.
- A telecommunications treaty - which would allow Palestinians to control traffic flows
- The Geneva Convention - to which Palestine can now become a signatory
No wonder Israel is pissed off. And scared.
And if Palestine takes Israel to the International Criminal Court, its mate, the US, can - legally - do squat. In typical American style, it is not a signatory to treaties that might embarrass it.

It also means that if rockets and insane suicide bombers from Palestine enter Israel, Israel will have the right to declare war on Palestine and end the threat. Once and for all. This should have happened years ago.
