Whoever criticizes capitalism, while approving immigration, whose working class is its first victim, had better shut up. Whoever criticizes immigration, while remaining silent about capitalism, should do the same.

The left remains DELIBERATELY IGNORANT of the difference between "race" and "culture".

About as much evidence that was needed to accuse Trump of being a Russian puppet. But unlike the anti-Obama hysteria, which remained largely on the fringes of the "right", anti-Trump hysteria is totally mainstream within the "left". In fact, Trump hysteria seems to be the only thing defining the "left" these days. I cannot remember the last time they started a thread that wasn't an attack on Trump in some way. Good luck trying to sell that to the electorate in 2020, especially if the economy continues to improve. The sad thing is that I would like to see a credible challenge to Trump and his agenda, but Democrats seem intent on acting like lunatics instead.
It's definitely off-topic, like all your what-aboutism and hypocrisy policing. But nobody expects anything different at this point. It's what you do.*Disclaimer, this isn’t off-topic trolling, I am addressing the member’s above statement that the left will believe any lie, any scandal, any accusation.

Some "nations" are indeed "$#@!holes". But in the PC world we live in, we're not allowed to identify winners and losers, especially when it comes to something as sensitive as culture. Still, the fact remains, some cultures (and the nations they give rise to) are demonstrably more developed, peaceful, and prosperous than other cultures. No amount of whining or feigned outrage will change that. Of course, Trump could have used more delicate language to describe the situation, but the underlying message would have been the same, i.e., why are we bringing in people from countries that are highly dysfunctional? It's a legitimate question to ask, especially if you believe in the concept of a sovereign and independent "United States". But because Trump allegedly used a naughty word, it's somehow the worst thing ever. Somehow I doubt normal Americans will have much issue with the statement, since they rely more on their common sense than on their marching orders from the DNC and CNN. They will instinctively agree with what Trump supposedly said even if they don't like the way he said it.

Ironically enough, most people on the "left" would avoid those places like the plague, just like they avoid living with poor blacks in the cities they control.
And isn't it always people on the "left" who say that immigrants come to America precisely because the place they're escaping from is dysfunctional and unlivable? Isn't that just a more sophisticated and indirect way of saying they live in a $#@!hole?
Why is it so controversial for someone to highlight the obvious differences in prosperity and stability between cultures? Might it have something to do with the relativism that tends to prevail on the left?

If the only thing that is required to become an "American" is to immigrate to the US, then being an "American" doesn't really mean much. Strangely enough, I cannot find anything written or spoken by the founders reflecting your interpretation of what it means to be an American. For them, being an American meant embracing certain core values, like a belief in God, the natural law, and liberty, just to name a few of the most obvious ones. It was never about showing up here on a boat from some distant land.
