An interesting article from back in 2007.

WAR WITH IRAN IS NOT THE ANSWER......"It appears increasingly likely that the Bush Administration’sdiplomatic approach to Iran will fail to preventthat country from going nuclear, and that the U.S. willhave to decide whether to use military force to attempt todelay Iran’s acquisition of a nuclear weapons capability. Someanalysts already have been promoting air strikes against Iran, and the Bush Administration has pointed out repeatedly that themilitary option is "on the table.".......https://www.cato.org/publications/co...-is-not-answer

Iran is its own worst enemy. The US and the rest of the western world at large is only reacting to Iran's inability to get along with its neighbors.

Now, the extremists they've funded -- the Houthi terrorists -- have launched a significant attack on Saudi's oil fields. This is an attack that will affect the cost of oil worldwide. Should Iran get away with that?

    Probably not.

In the long run, the only solution to be had is for the people of Iran to overthrow the mullahs. But that may be a long time in coming. Until then -- we'll continue to use sanctions to keep them from profiting from their state-sponsored terrorism.

The military option should not be off the table as well.

In the world theater today, Iran is even worse than North Korea.

The funny thing was that right after 9-11 Iran was working with the US to go against al Qaeda. Then Bush comes out with his axis of evil speech and screwed that relationship up. Had that not happened it would be interesting to see if Iran would have taken a different tact in the Middle East.

....even funnier is the fact that Suadi Arabia , who was involved in the 9/11 attack , is now strongly supported by the US and Israel......it's the tail wagging the dog.

Substantially in both Iraq and Syria , and they still are.....meanwhile Saudi Arabia supported al-Qaeda and the Islamic State , along with Israel . Osama bin-Laden was not a product of Iran.
