Louisiana? Let 'em go. Hell, I'll even sign it.
Let them. I am all in favour of anyone that wants to secede, let them. Guess what? When the South tried this a hundred years ago it led to a Civil War, because Lincoln said, "No". He said no because, at the time, we needed the south. They had cotton. They had tobacco, and they had ports. We needed the as much as they needed us. Well, welcome to the 21st century. most of us wear polyester blends, now. We have the Rust Belt. We have the Breadbasket. And anything than can be moved by boat, and just as easily be moved by planes, trains, and automobiles. They need us a $#@!load more than we need them. They wanna leave? buh bye! Draw the line right at the mason/Dixon. Anyone that doesn't like the way the United States is being run, feel free to head South.
But, you see? This is all just rhetorical saber rattling. Because guess what? They know they need us more than we need them, too. So. They won't ever actually do it.
You don't get to vote for the party that supported, and legislated government forced vaginal probes, and then claim to oppose Obama because he represents "increased government control, and power".
You only think we do.

Just curious Czern. Given the deep and permanent divide in America why do you find it so strange and apparently threatening such that you react with scorn instead of serious discussion, that it might be a good idea to break the country up into several more compatible and governable entities. Have you not noticed what a gross failure trying to run it out of the east coast is?
On balance, how could anyone argue that breaking up the Soviet Union wan'ts good for them and everyone else?
BTW, could you also discuss for us exactly where in the Constitution it says that states are compelled to remain against their better interests and wishes? Was it OK with you for Lincoln to cause millions to be killed because he wanted cotton, tobacco and ports?
You take the heartland of Texas, Louisiana, Oklahoma and Arkansas just for starters and you have one hell of a powerful country. Texas alone is the world's 10th largest economy.
Try thinking out of the box on this one. You might be surprised at what shows up.
