So you see I don't hate America or Americans per se.
But, at a political level (I'm not talking about all individual Americans), it's very hard to have much respect for you. Most of you are actually liberals; but you have designed a system (and liberals are complicit in this) that has ensured the American people are losers to vested interests.
There's not much to like about that.

But at the political level you are talking individual Americans unless you want to talk pure abstractions or lumping labels. And no, most are not liberals, we lean conservative. And you have not said a single thing that leads anyone here to suspect you understand the least little bit about our "system".
You lean "American conservative". Which means you have certain values - especially in relation to states' rights - that do not exist in a unitary system like NZ or in other federal systems like Australia or Canada.
But if you take into account people who don't vote in elections, a preponderance of people favour federal interventions and have liberal cultural beliefs left of the Republican party and its associates.
