Yes a county in NC. Doesn't matter if you have bought guns before in other states or counties. It remined me when I moved from SC to NC and the person said we don't recognize SC licenses here, you have to take the written test over. If I had known that I would have never bided on the gun.
I bought a S&W Model 32 Chief's Special .38 in the late '70s, when I was stationed in Memphis and occasionally had reason to go downtown late at night. Blue steel with Pachmayr grips. I've carried it to and from work every day for the last seven or eight years. I've never had to fire it at something other than a target and I hope I never do. I've seen up close what even a .38 slug will do to a human body, and if I can go through the rest of my life without some assh*le making me shoot him that would be great.

North Carolina used to be a pretty good state. With the current laws, you couldn't make me move back there at gunpoint.
