Cool Weekly update on Obamacare sign ups Week 4 = 900,000 plus & 330,000 requests for subs

Weekly update on Obamacare sign ups Week 4 = 900,000 plus & 330,000 requests for subsidies.

Forget all of the misinformation about how many people have signed up or applied.

An unknown blogger by the name of "Brainwrap" has a spreadsheet that has better information than all of the MSM media put together.

In the spreadsheet he has a link for every number.

The 700,000 applications are only for states with their own exchanges and doesn't include any from the national website. That doesn't mean the decisions are final or people are enrolled, we won't get those figures until January.

    http://obamacaresignups.net/

They also have a link to the IRS numbers. These are people who have gotten far enough into the system that they responded to the "do you want to see if you qualify for a subsidy" question. IRS reports 330,000 hits have been received already.

    http://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs/...eterminations/

More than 330,000 people have managed to get deep enough into new government health insurance Web sites to learn how much financial assistance they will receive purchasing coverage, the Internal Revenue Service said Saturday.

Tick-Tock ... 60 DAYS until January 1st, and it's only been 31 DAYS since ObamaCare opened.

The Critics better stock up on KY

How many people were enrolled via the ACA by 10/31?

    Zero.

Enrollment doesn't happen until the first month premium is paid and always starts at the first of the month. Policies don't take effect until January 1st so there is little incentive to pay months ahead of time. The first real enrollment figures won't be in hand until the second week of January, and then only if someone asks every single insurance company in the marketplace, and they give the statistics. The ACA Marketplace website will never have actual enrollment figures.

Expect to see a lot of variance in the statistics, but the best source to date is a blogger by the name of brainwrap that annotates this spreadsheet. His numbers don't include the national exchange.

    http://obamacaresignups.net/

But he has a link to what is probably the best true indicator of how far people are getting in the application process, hits at the IRS, both for verification and subsidy data requests.

If you open your account and if you get your ID verified then you will be asked if you want to check for a subsidy. If you hit that then the IRS gets a hit. This includes all of the exchanges so it really is the most reliable metric on how many people are getting deep into the application process.

Here is what the WP quotes the IRS saying:

    http://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs/...eterminations/

More than 330,000 people have managed to get deep enough into new government health insurance Web sites to learn how much financial assistance they will receive purchasing coverage, the Internal Revenue Service said Saturday.

The IRS said it has also received and responded to more than 1.3 million requests from the marketplace for personal data used to apply for Affordable Care Act programs, such as household income and family size.

The IRS said it is currently receiving about 80,000 such data requests each day.
It is one of about a half-dozen agencies that send information to a federal data hub, along with the Department of Homeland Security and the Social Security Administration.

That is a pretty healthy number for a website that isn't working at all.

Insurance canceled because of Obamacare? Relax

Is your health insurance getting the boot with the Obamacare launch?

    Don't freak out.

Americans have a number of ways to replace canceled health coverage, including a new option that offers many the chance to actually save money on it, according to experts.

"Don't panic," said Sara Collins, a Commonwealth Fund health policy analyst. "You have some time, lots of choice, and people to help you find what you need. You have a lot of new options-a lot more than last year if the same thing had happened to you."

Many people with individual insurance plans-those not part of an employer's plan-have already received cancellation notices.

Sources have told NBC News that between 7 million and 11 million of the 14 million Americans with individual coverage will receive cancellation letters because the plans don't meet new minimum benefit standards set by the Affordable Care Act.

In recent days, media reports have detailed how many people receiving such letters are distraught, believing they will be left without insurance or without a chance at affordable coverage beginning Jan. 1.

But follow-up reports have revealed that those people can get coverage, sometimes for less than what they were paying.

So it's working well enough for being to sign up but not completely enroll?

Yeah, that sounds like a money maker...

Massachusetts is really not the history you'd want to refer to.

Many of those states you earlier asserted were purposefully holding Obamacare registrations back just two weeks ago(I can quote you if you'd like). Busted lying again.
They also have a link to the IRS numbers. These are people who have gotten far enough into the system that they responded to the "do you want to see if you qualify for a subsidy" question. IRS reports 330,000 hits have been received already.
They're also figuring out they qualify for Medicaid.

More than 330,000 people have managed to get deep enough into new government health insurance Web sites to learn how much financial assistance they will receive purchasing coverage, the Internal Revenue Service said Saturday.
Have managed to get "deep enough" to merely find information on financial assistance......330,000. And Cigar touts this a success.

Tick-Tock ... 60 DAYS until January 1st, and it's only been 31 DAYS since ObamaCare opened.
Only 31 days and his approval rating you once monitored so closely is 42%. Oops.

The Critics better stock up on KY
That KY or short for Kentucky.....the red state actually registering consumers, the red states you once blamed for holding Obamacare up.

You simply cannot make this stuff up, People. Goes right to credibility...or lack thereof.
