    I agree we should not anthropomorphize animals but I can't help but suspect that's what people are really doing when they speak to their more human qualities. Perhaps they're like us in less appealing ways as well. That said, they're certainly intelligent and complex creatures.

    They leave them seriously injured. The truth is that scientists aren't sure why they engage in this behavior. Attacking porpoises might just be territorialism. Bashing female dolphins happens because the females aren't accommodating. It's not nice, but human males have been known to do the same thing.

    Interesting. And yet humans have never figured out why we randomly engage in this behavior either. Regardless... These animals engage in that behavior and that can't be disputed.
