    Trinnity....nice list.

We are always ready, too. I live in area that is prone to tornadoes and blizzards....so we are always prepared for a power outage.

From what I am seeing in the media coverage, many of Sandy's victims were not adequately prepared. So sad.

Trust a dip$#@! mindless troll to post a six year old video of a black racist as though it was somehow a dramatic statement on what's happening in the here and now under Obama's watch.

Well, at at least it didn't mention "teabaggers", "neocons" or "it's Bush's fault.

I guess to the single digit IQ crowd that suffices as some kind of progress....

It's always a comparison with the Bush era with this dip$#@!, as if that somehow makes Obama a $#@!ing genius hero or something. He turned the devastation in New Jersey into a photo op and went about what he does best...being a $#@!ing rock star.

And while people were foraging for food, the first me lady was on thew phone trying to finagle donations out of people so they could eat lobster and steak on the campaign trail..

but, as we have been told so, so, so, so, many times before....

    wait for it...

With the exception of time spent in the Military, I have lived on the Gulf Coast my entire life. I have seen what storms can do. Hurricanes Camille, Frederick, George, Ivan and Katrina to name some of the larger ones. Lets put the "Blame Bush for Katrina" BS to bed for Pete's sake
The onus was on Louisiana's Governor Blanco the declare a state of emergency...She waited to long. One cannot simply pick up a batphone and instantly start a military mobilization. It takes time. Meanwhile the ONLY corridors to handle traffic from areas able to send help, US90 and I 10 were blocked. Oh, and the Mayor of NOLA in the days leading up to the storm (ample time to prepare) was acting as an extra in a movie being filmed in the city.
Amtrack offered the city the use of rail cars they were removing as a means to help evacuate those who did not have the means. The Mayor declined. Many of the things we witness now in Gotham are similar to Katrina. Lack of preparedness, plain and simple. NOLA had time but failed to act. Corruption in the Levy commission allowed the pumping stations to fall into disrepair. Governor Blanco knew she blew it. Her decision not to seek reelection removed any doubt.
While the media focused on New Orleans, they virtually ignored the State of Mississippi which had ENTIRE CITIES wiped off the map. Waveland, Bay Saint Louis, Picyune, Biloxi to name a few. They were ignored while the cameras remained focused on the macabre image of poor souls who did not prepare, or leave because they trusted government more than they feared a hurricane.
The sad truth is that sometimes bad things happen to good people. Disasters do not build character in politicians they reveal it, or lack thereof.
I can speak of President Obama's reaction to the oil spill, but that's another story for another day.

His reaction was too little too late and then he just punished the Gulf residents more by shutting down the drilling and sending the jobs away. I haven't forgotten.

The safety protocols had to be completely audited and revised.. They were piecemealed out all over the country with no accountability.. on purpose.
