I have to eat something. And an hour or so after I get to work I eat two hard boiled eggs.

Grits or hashbrowns with bacon or sausage, one egg and sliced tomatoes. Hash browns homemade only. Take the skin off, shred, run water over it, pat dry, put butter in pan, place in pan covered for around 5 minutes (don't lift the lid) then turn and repeat. Better than the restaurants.

If I actually took the time to cook my own breakfast, my favorite would probably be two or three pancakes (with lots of syrup); four or five strips of bacon; and three or four eggs.

In reality, however, I usually just go to a nearby Hardees, and get a couple of ham biscuits (which are very tasty also).

It's funny how one term like "hashbrowns" is different in different places. To me, hashbrowns are chopped up, usually leftover, potatoes that are fried. I like mine with fried onions in the mix.

I can't imagine eating that much food in the morning. 3 eggs and 3 strips of bacon does it for me. I'm off tomorrow so I'll be having that. I only added the third egg recently because I was having trouble maintaining weight.

Hash browns sounds like a hassle. I like them but I just can't be bothered at home.

I don't eat bacon on a regular basis. I do the 3 eggs when I scramble them.

I eat scrambled eggs fairly often, also (usually in the afternoon, or at night).

My suggestion is to try them with lots of shredded cheese in them (I like the sharp or extra-sharp variety), plus some Hormel bacon bits (about a quarter of a bottle).

Yep, that's the best way to make hash browns, but I'm usually too lazy, lol. I just wash the potatoes, shred them, then toss them in a bowl with lots of extra light olive oil, garlic salt (Lawry's coarse ground garlic salt with parsley), and fresh ground pepper. Then form them into a sort of disc or patty in the pan, and cook over medium/high heat, turning until nicely browned on both sides. Mine are still way better than a restaurant too.
