2020 is a good year for some more primaries.

One must wonder if she's an American or a Palestinian............. she's never made the claim that she's an American, only that she is Palestinian

The people who were so called tea party types were welcomed into the party and they were given committee assignments and they were given a voice. They were not shut out. They brought a more conservative point of view into the discussion.

Besides, there never was a Tea Party. The tea party was a grass roots, spontaneous reaction to Obama tax initiatives. The freedom caucus is rooted in that movement.

I'm taking the broad view here. I don't know what you are doing, but you aren't speaking more broadly.

The Deomocrats are going to need to keep the peace by giving these two idiots some committee assignment, but it will something where their influence can be trivialized.

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez didn’t get a seat on the powerful tax writing committee where she sought to push her progressive agenda of Medicare for All, free college tuition and a green new deal. Instead, the open downstate New York slot on the House Ways and Means Committee went to a moderate Democrat, Long Island Rep. Tom Suozzi, a former CPA, attorney and county executive.

Suozzi will assume the committee seat of Rep. Joe Crowley, the Queens Democrat Ocasio-Cortez defeated last year in a stunning upset.

Ocasio-Cortez sought a spot on the committee—which is usually off limits to freshman reps – with the backing of progressive groups that pushed for a slate of fresh-faced candidates to earn posh assignments.

Michigan Rep. Rashida Tlaib made a play for Appropriations, but she too was passed over.

Seems like it shows why she didn't get selected.

I've seen lists which have 25 or 30 Democrats who are considered viable candidates in 2020. Obvuiously some of them are just cannon fodder and have no chance at all for various reasons. When you take a serious look at the Democrats, they actually have a very shallow bench. Not many reasonable or credible candidates to choose from. A lot of them are comeplete kooks or one issue candidates. It's almost like looking at a collection of some of the whacky third party choices out there
