Despite threat of boycott, attendance increases at Sunday NFL games

Seems like the Veterans day boycott didn't have the desired effect many wanted it to have at the stadiums....

    • Buffalo: Average 68,944; Sunday: 67,501
    • Chicago: Average 61,779; Sunday: 61,285
    • Jacksonville: Average 59,553; Sunday: 67,164
    • Detroit: Average 63,367; Sunday: 64,646
    • Indy: Average 63,801; Sunday: 66,146
    • Tennessee: Average 67,356; Sunday: 67,432
    • Tampa: Average 60,894; Sunday: 57,911
    • Washington: Average: 77,451; Sunday: 74,476

Now, this is just for the attendance to the games, and not the tv viewership at home.

You list 8 games 4 of which have lower than average attendance, Jacksonville alone exceeded their average by nearly 8000, yet the 8 games listed only exceeded by 3000 total.

Why does your list not have the other 4 games that played Sunday?

People that love football care about the sport. Most could care less about the political statement that some of these players are currently doing. Most people are wondering why they chose this year to make a stand when all years prior they had no problem with standing for the National Anthem.

Kaepernick was kneeling when Obama was president. The others decided to join in when the president made it an issue.

Exactly. It wasn't even an issue anymore until The Orange One opened his mouth and basically threatened players. I was against Kaepernick when he initially did this. But after idiot opened his mouth and said people like Kaepernick should be fired, I've been behind the players all the way. Any decent American should be. F*** Trump. As president, he had no right to even suggest such a thing.

In any other situation, the right would be chomping at the bit to challenge the government. Imagine Obama saying that someone should be fired for something done in the private sector, the cons here would be having a feeding frenzy over it.
