Has anyone changed his (or her) mind?

I am unaware of anyone who formerly was a Trump detractor, yet who has become a Trump supporter since the impeachment hearings began.

Of course, the same may be said, in reverse.

This suggests that many (on both sides, actually) have preconceived beliefs, that are simply impervious to any evidence--one way or the other.

There is a name for this sort of reasoning: It is the a priori fallacy.

But perhaps someone can point me to a person who has changed his (or her) mind--on either side-- since the hearings began.

I haven't completely flipped positions -- I voted third party in the 2016 election and I changed my affiliation from Republican to Unaffiliated at that time because I was shocked by Trump's behavior. Yet, I could not accept any of the democratic candidates.

In 2020, I plan to vote for Trump, and it's not because I suddenly had a change of heart and love the guy, it's because I think what the democrats are doing is dangerous for our nation. And, I think what they're doing to Trump is way beyond the pale -- much worse than what the GOP did to Obama. So, while I haven't made a huge mental shift -- I've made a small one.

My impression is that a lot of people are bored or turned off by this political theater. I doubt there are many people who have been moved one way or the other by it.

I plan on voting for Trump too but I don't get the "Trump cult" thing. It's less a matter of "Trump cultists" defending everything Trump says or does and more a matter of the criticism being frivolous and generally retarded.

I'm still where I was in 2016. I also voted third party, because both sides didn't off anything of value, IMO.

They still aren't offering anything of value, but I may have to wear a full face oxygen mask in 2020 if the DNC doesn't realized what they are doing setting a president of unimaginable consequence and shut this sh!tshow down.

No, I haven't changed position. Politicians, in general, are bottom dwellers.

Haven't changed from being bored by topical politics. Personally I dislike Trump but what does that matter. If he committed some high crime or misdemeanor, then I'd be all for impeachment and removal. But I get the sense the hearings are just BS driven by TDS and a lack of anything to offer to win in 2020.

Get back to me when any actual evidence of wrongdoing by the President, is presented by the Dems.
