Not many, apparently. The street had been named "Forrest" since 1920. Not until they saw the whining babblers on the news yapping about the statue did they say anything. There is a city about 40-50 miles from Memphis named "Forrest City". They haven't renamed the entire city yet. Those inbreds still havent noticed. Tsk tsk.

As long as the agreement was amicable -- and it was -- I have no problem with it. The greater issue of trying to hide our history is a whole different thing, but that's not what this thread is about. It sounds as though the Sons of Confederate Veterans plan to develop a new and more secure place where folks can visit the statue and the graves. Some place where they can be enjoyed by all who visit.
