    Guns of the future

This is a conglameration of things ive read about 3dgun making. Is it all true, I have no idea, I do believe some of it is true and will come to pass.

One article stated that 3d gun making cannot be stopped, it cant be policed and 3d guns in the near future will be everywhere, including assault rifles that are fully automatic. It will make gun control and gun background checks obsolete and put guns in the hands of any person that has the money to buy one.

Another article demonstrates that the plans and guides to make 3d guns are already out there and good to go.

Banning 3d machines would be like banning marijuana or alcohol, wont work, brace yourselves 3d guns will be everywhere and when it happens there will be republicans and democrats alike scrambling to find a solution

Well, currently only a single shot gun (plastic) that can maybe fire a couple of rounds before turning to crap are feasible.

Metal 3D machines are beyond most people’s reach.

It is already legal to machine your own gun at home if you don’t sell it.

It is already illegal to make fully automatic guns.

So basically this is much todo about nothing other than political fear mongering and click bait.
When Donald Trump said to protest “peacefully”, he meant violence.

When he told protesters to “go home”, he meant stay for an insurrection.

And when he told Brad Raffensperger to implement “whatever the correct legal remedy is”, he meant fraud.

    War is peace.

    Freedom is slavery.

    Ignorance is strength.

I suppose they could try to control the materials needed. If there is a way to control anything they will find it.

When it comes to human ingenuity vs government regulation ingenuity will win. We should all be thankful for that.

The only metal in a printed gun are the nail (firing pin) and a hunk of metal optionally installed to comply with the Undetectable Firearms Act (a gun is legally required to set off a metal detector). Law abiding citizens will comply with the law because that's what law abiding citizens tend to do most of the time. Here's a quick crash course:

Is more legislation needed ( most of tPF votes "YES, absolutely!!"), or should all gun regulation be abolished?

The correct answer: all gun laws should be abolished because none of them do what they purport to do, and never have. Or if they do, here's your chance to prove it.

In the meantime, think about it. The only people getting $#@!ed in the ass are people who abide by the law anyway. Indeed, they absolutely are getting $#@!ed right out of their own country.

Gun laws serve almost exclusively to generate revenue for the government and give lawyers jobs.

Excellent synopsis of the whole 3D gun hysteria.

Sometimes the future is not better. Sometimes old school, history is better.

Forget 3D. Go Glock. I invested in a Glock 30, I carry on my hip. Opposite side in a holster is an extra magazine and a SureFire flashlight. Fits nicely under a dress jacket.

In USA 1999-2015, 533,879 people died from guns -- mostly by suicide.

How is it OK to sacrifice hundreds of thousands of lives for a "freedom" ?

Hopefully these devices will not fall into the hands of people who have murder or suicide in mind.

Why would they when regular firearms are readily available and work more than once?
