That's the way to do it. I caught - well, honestly, it sort of just hit the ground and rolled to me - a Barry Bonds home run ball during a Spring Training game in 2001, while sitting out on the grass berm at Scottsdale Stadium. I hate Bonds and I didn't want the ball, but there was a little kid there wearing a Bonds jersey and of course I gave it to him, and got some cheers out of it.

The fact remains you were free to do anything you wished with the ball you caught. Since it had little meaning to you you elected to brighten the life of another. That is the way things should be done.

I did not screw up your thread, he did and my post was about the same as your thread, a sport and event that happens during it thats controversial. I merely asked you a question in a respectful way.
