Keith Ellison and the seriousness of the charges against him

Rep. Keith Ellison (D-MN) got emotional this week during an interview with local television discussing an abuse allegation leveled against him by his ex-girlfriend. In the chat with WCCO-TV, Ellison, who won a primary on Tuesday night in the Minnesota attorney general race, once again denied Karen Monahan’s claim that he physically abused her during their relationship, which ended in 2016.

And won his Primary while all of this is going on. Impressive.

So, I gotta refer back to a thread topic here with Member @IMPress Polly

The thread start concerned Justin Trudeau and recent allegations of sexual misconduct arose. Polly reminded the forum that well.....rare was it these were singular incidents, in other words, it was almost certain that more women would come forward and establish a 'pattern' of behavior by Trudeau.

And then there is our media who wish to play guilt by association games tying Trump voters in with every Tweet/word/policy/ and of course we're all deplorable racists. Meanwhile Democrats here seem to have elected a sexual abuser. I mean....as Polly pointed out, rare is it where these incidents occur in a vacuum, there will most probably be other women coming out to accuse Ellison, don't you Dems see the writing on the wall here? He cannot be allowed to run for office with this hanging over his head. Can he?

How can she prove it now? Dies she have a police report? A confession? A hospital report which documents suspicion of abuse? If not , don't keep your mouth shut so long the next time somebody hits you. Of course we all know if the police were called and both had injuries which sex would be arrested don't we?
Lady you had a right top report and or file charges or not to. You can't have it both ways.

Lol, I seem to be like everyone's go-to reference on everything related to women's interests anymore. Like every thread anyone starts on a topic like this includes a direct mention of yours truly now, it seems. It's all good! That's actually something I'm proud of; that I have such a reputation.

I believe it was a mistake for Democrats to nominate him for the Attorney General position under these circumstances. I don't care if you're considered to be otherwise a progressive hero or you're second in charge of the party at some level; if there are emerging allegations of domestic violence against you, it's maybe not time for you to move up in your career just now.

Now: are these allegations credible? We could definitely use more concrete evidence of this particular incident, but it's worth recalling that it's not the only one that has plagued Ellison to date.

    Ellison's ex has video, supposedly.
It's ok if you disagree with me. I can't force you to be right.

The Republican Roy Moore, and therefore the State of Alabama, was destroyed by mere allegations. Once the election results were in and the Democrats all went back to the states they came from to vote here the allegations simply went away, didn't they?

The Muslim Democrat Ellison had his resume enhanced by the allegations.
Call your state legislators and insist they approve the Article V convention of States to propose amendments.

I pledge allegiance to the Constitution as written and understood by this nation's founders, and to the Republic it created, an indivisible union of sovereign States, with liberty and justice for all.

Looks like Ellison has some problems coming out.....this will cost him that AG spot. Plus he gave up his Congressional seat. A Muslim woman won the primary for the Demos. But she will have a tough time vs the Repubs she is up against. The Demos have a good chance of losing Ellisons seat.

He told them in June he wouldn't run for his seat. Last minute notice and jumped for the AG.

911 call records uncovered from Keith Ellison’s second alleged victim of domestic abuse.....

Amid the explosive allegations of domestic abuse against Rep. Keith Ellison, D-Minn., made by the son of a former girlfriend, Karen Monahan, who has since backed up the accusation, there’s a report of a second woman claiming Ellison was abusive.

And there’s a 911 call that appears to support the second claim.

Amy Alexander claimed that Ellison had abused her during a 2005 relationship in a 2006 article published in The Wright County Republican and blogger Laura Loomer uncovered documentation of a 911 call.

Alexander said in the article that she began seeing Ellison in 1993, while he was still married, and that the relationship eventually went downhill, which prompted her to move out of state.

They would cross paths again in 2004, but the relationship came to a quick end in May 2005 — that’s when Alexander said Ellison showed up at her house uninvited and assaulted her.

In May, Keith wanted to try and quiet me so he came to my home uninvited,” wrote Alexander. “We had words. His anger kicked in. He berated me. He grabbed me and pushed me out of the way. I was terrified. I called the police. As he fled he broke my screen door. I have never been so scared.”

As Loomer noted, the caller’s name on the 911 report has been redacted, but she said a records search under the name of “Amy Alexander” shows that “Alexander lived at the address on the report: 1403 Washington St NE, Minneapolis, Minnesota.

Alexander did acknowledge that Ellison had previously taken out a restraining order against her, characterizing the move as an attempt to “marginalize” her.....snip~

I love watching the liberal hacks do a 180 when a liberal Democrat is accused of domestic violence.

Not an ounce of hypocrisy in them, huh......
